Mohali football academy's U-14 team shines in 3 world tourneys
Chandigarh: Mohali's Minerva Academy's under-14 football team has won three of the world's youth tournaments, the Gothia Cup (Sweden), Dana Cup (Denmark) and Norway Cup (Norway), all in the same year.
The team also reached the final of the Helsinki Cup (Finland).
Over a three-week European tour, the squad remained unbeaten in 26 matches across their three title wins. They recorded the highest average goal count per game among all teams (16.25). Forwards Wahengbam Raj Singh (60 goals), Punshiba Meitei (33), Denamoni (26), Amarson and Azam Khan (24 each) led the scoring charts.
