The partnership was announced as TikTok launched its globally successful STEM Feed in the UAE. This collaboration marks a major milestone. It brings the largest free Arabic-language educational video library to TikTok. The goal is to enhance learning opportunities, promote innovation, and support community growth across the region. The cooperation agreement was signed in the presence of key officials. These included His Excellency Saeed Al Eter, Assistant Secretary General at MBRGI; Dr. Waleed Al Ali, General Coordinator of and Kinda Ibrahim, Regional General Manager of Operations at TikTok for the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Pakistan, and South Asia. The new initiative aims to deliver high-quality, verified STEM content. It will focus on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The content will be made available in innovative formats that appeal to today's learners. Dr. Waleed Al Ali revealed that MBRGI continues to grow its strategic partnerships. These efforts reflect the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. His vision places education at the core of societal progress and aims to empower a new Arab generation. He stated that the launch marks a new phase for Madrasa. It helps advance self-learning by providing Arab students with essential knowledge. The initiative blends structured learning with engaging video content, using social media to expand its reach. Dr. Al Ali reported that the platform has seen rising video views and a growing user base since its launch in 2018. It has received regional and international recognition, including from UNESCO and ESCWA. TikTok's long-term strategy also emphasizes educational impact. The company aims to spark curiosity, promote creativity, and encourage youth in the region to pursue STEM careers. Kinda Ibrahim stated that the STEM Feed's launch in the UAE supports TikTok's mission to empower young innovators. She added that nearly 10 million STEM-related videos have been shared globally on TikTok over the past three years. This highlights a strong demand for educational content. She also announced that partnering with MBRGI allows TikTok to amplify its impact. Together, they aim to offer trusted Arabic-language content and inspire learning through social media. Since 2018, Madrasa has provided more than 7,000 interactive lessons in STEM and Arabic language subjects. It continues to work toward making Arabic a key language for modern science and knowledge. The STEM Feed is now available to all users. Those aged 18 and above can activate it through their TikTok app settings under Content Preferences. Users will be able to access: Content from top STEM creators, such as @Da7ee7, @annanscience, @anastalks, and others Educational material from partners like Majarra, known for high-quality Arabic content To ensure accuracy and quality, TikTok will review all content in collaboration with Common Sense Networks and Poynter. Common Sense Networks will evaluate educational value, while Poynter will verify reliability. Any content that fails to meet these standards will not be featured. This initiative reflects both organizations' commitment to building knowledge-based societies. It also highlights their shared goal of making STEM education accessible, engaging, and impactful for Arab youth. By combining Madrasa's vast e-learning resources with TikTok's digital platform, the partnership aims to empower young minds—one short video at a time.

As a key partner of the continent's largest digital learning forum, the Digital School led a high-level UAE delegation and signed a landmark agreement with Tanzania's Ministry of Education. The Memorandum of Understanding aims to boost cooperation in digital education and empower African youth through accessible, tech-enabled learning. Held in Dar es Salaam, the 2025 edition of eLearning Africa gathered over 1,500 participants from 80 countries, including ministers, policymakers, and global education leaders. The UAE's involvement was part of the 'Ataya' initiative's broader strategy to fund e-learning projects in Africa in collaboration with the Digital School. The conference also saw the launch of the Digital School's first regional office in Tanzania to support the SkillED Academies Project. Delivered in partnership with IIT Madras in Zanzibar and the Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT), the initiative focuses on work-ready digital skills aligned with national priorities. Dr. Waleed Al Ali, Secretary-General of the Digital School, highlighted the initiative's growing recognition as a model for scalable, inclusive digital learning. 'Digital learning is no longer a luxury—it's a necessity and a bridge to dignity,' he said during the ministerial session. The Digital School hosted key workshops and held over a dozen bilateral meetings with African governments and international organisations, reflecting a strong and growing demand for its model of accessible digital education across the continent. Dubai has officially launched an initiative aimed at empowering young people across Africa. Waleed Al Ali, Secretary General of The Digital School, part of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, announced the 'Skills Academies' during a summit in Dubai. This initiative aims to benefit five million individuals through a network of eight specialised academies offering accredited training programs tailored to the labour market. Targeting young individuals aged 18 and above, depending on local regulations, the Skills Academies initiative recognises Africa as the continent with the largest youth population in the world. 'Africa is on the brink of a major renaissance and there is a pressing need for education and training to empower its youth,' he noted. Al Ali emphasised the importance of this initiative, stating, 'Our goal is to significantly contribute to the progress and development of the African continent by providing essential skills that align with job market demands.' He highlighted that the academies will focus on priority sectors, including agriculture, management, and technology, ensuring that participants are equipped with the skills necessary to thrive in today's economy. By focusing on the unique challenges faced by African nations, the initiative aims to bridge the skills gap and foster economic growth. Al Ali stated, 'The UAE has established itself as a leading investor and supporter of development in Africa, making this collaboration not only beneficial but essential.'
