Trophy treble finishes great season on a high for Airbus
After just missing out on the Cymru North title following an epic race with eventual champions Colwyn Bay, Airbus have shook off this disappointment in style by claiming a trophy hat-trick.
On the back of winning the Cymru North Cup and Cymru Cup, the Wingmakers lifted the North East Wales FA Challenge Cup for the first time in their history via a 4-0 triumph over Holywell Town in the final.
Reflecting on the support he has received from the backroom staff this season, boss Allen told the club's website: 'They are a real pleasure to work with and have supported me throughout the season in a number of ways that people don't see, as well as the obvious ones. I can't speak highly enough of them all.'
George Peers, Josh Stevenson, Sam Baker and Ieuan Jones-Wellstead shared the goals to make sure of the trophy treble for Airbus.
Corwen lifted the North East Wales Reserves' Cup courtesy of a 2-1 outcome against Mynydd Isa and FC Queen's Park pipped Rhostyllen 1-0 to lift the Horace Wynne Cup.
