Invincible Season 4: Release date rumors, cast updates and what to expect next

By Aman Shukla Published on July 18, 2025, 18:30 IST Last updated July 18, 2025, 11:14 IST Invincible has us all hooked with its heart-pounding action, emotional twists, and jaw-dropping cliffhangers. After Season 3 left us reeling, the hype for Season 4 is through the roof. So, what's the word on when it's dropping, who's voicing our favorite characters, and what's next for our boy Mark? Here's the scoop, packed with all the juicy details you're craving. When Is Invincible Season 4 Coming Out? Okay, so when can we expect Invincible Season 4? No official date's been dropped yet, but the grapevine's got some solid hints. Robert Kirkman's been saying they're pushing to release seasons faster, and word is we're looking at early 2026—think January to April vibes. The team's already wrapped voice recordings, and the animators are hard at work, so things are moving along nicely. Who's in the Cast for Season 4? The voice cast of Invincible is a powerhouse, and Season 4 is bringing back the heavy hitters while tossing in some fresh voices. Here's who we're expecting: Steven Yeun as Mark Grayson/Invincible: Our favorite superhero is back, ready to tackle new threats and personal struggles. as Mark Grayson/Invincible: Our favorite superhero is back, ready to tackle new threats and personal struggles. J.K. Simmons as Omni-Man: Nolan's still a key player, working with the Coalition of Planets after his big Season 3 moments. as Omni-Man: Nolan's still a key player, working with the Coalition of Planets after his big Season 3 moments. Gillian Jacobs as Atom Eve: Eve's arc is set to shine, especially her bond with Mark. as Atom Eve: Eve's arc is set to shine, especially her bond with Mark. Walton Goggins as Cecil Stedman: The GDA boss will keep scheming to protect Earth. as Cecil Stedman: The GDA boss will keep scheming to protect Earth. Clancy Brown as Damien Darkblood: The demon detective is getting a wild new storyline (more on that soon!). One big casting mystery is Thragg, the Viltrumite Empire's terrifying leader. Kirkman's confirmed Thragg's voice actor is set, but it's hush-hush for now. Fans are guessing a big name—maybe a Walking Dead star like Norman Reedus or someone totally unexpected. Another exciting addition is Matthew Rhys, joining for Season 4 or 5, though we don't know who he'll play yet. Sadly, we're saying goodbye to Jason Mantzoukas as Rex after his character's heartbreaking exit in Season 3. But new faces like Bernarrd and Randee, Viltrumites from the comics, might pop up with new voices to shake things up. What's Going Down in Season 4? Season 4 is gearing up to be a game-changer. Based on what we know from the comics and Kirkman's teases, here's what to expect: The Viltrumite War Heats Up After Season 3's brutal showdown with Conquest (voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the Viltrumites are coming for blood. Mark, Omni-Man, and Allen are teaming up with the Coalition of Planets to take on Thragg and his empire. Expect epic space battles, tough choices, and Mark wrestling with what it means to be a hero. The war could kick off early in the season, building to a massive showdown by the finale. Damien Darkblood's Big Moment Here's where things get wild: Season 4 is introducing a brand-new story for Damien Darkblood that's not in the comics! That Season 3 post-credits scene with Darkblood and a demon (voiced by Evil Dead legend Bruce Campbell) hints at a trip to Hell—yep, Hell . Kirkman's playing with a classic superhero vibe, and it's gonna be a blast seeing Mark navigate this dark, original arc. Mark's Growing Pains Mark Grayson's not the same kid we met in Season 1. After Season 3's intense finale, he's leaning into a darker, more ruthless side—almost like Omni-Man. Season 4 will dig into his struggle to stay true to himself while facing insane threats. Plus, his relationship with Atom Eve is set to get deeper, with more emotional and maybe romantic moments. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication . ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City' season 3 confirmed, with new showrunner and fresh chaos

AMC has officially renewed The Walking Dead: Dead City for a third season, but the show's return will come with major changes, both on and off screen. The Negan and Maggie spinoff is set to begin production this fall, not in post-apocalyptic Manhattan, but in Boston, a location shift that hints at a fresh direction. Most notably, series creator Eli Jorné is stepping down as showrunner. Taking over is Walking Dead veteran Seth Hoffman, a writer and former co-executive producer on the original series. The move suggests AMC is looking to reinvigorate the franchise with new energy and, perhaps, a darker edge. In season 2, Maggie came dangerously close to killing Negan, the man who brutally murdered her husband Glenn, before ultimately walking away. Season 3 will see them attempt the unthinkable: working together to build Manhattan's first thriving community since the outbreak. But AMC teases that 'chaos in the city begins to arise,' raising the question: can they really leave their past behind? The network promises new allies, new enemies, and deeper exploration of Maggie and Negan's fragile truce. For fans, it's a twist-filled gamble that could either redeem or unravel the show's core tension. AMC's president Dan McDermott said the new season will 'push the boundaries of Maggie and Negan's conflicted relationship,' calling the characters 'iconic' and their arc 'still full of surprises.' Whether fans will embrace this shift, especially those still haunted by Glenn's death, remains to be seen. There's no premiere date yet, but with production slated for fall 2025, fans can expect the new episodes to drop sometime in 2026.

THE WALKING DEAD: DEAD CITY Scores Season 3 Renewal, Releases Synopsis and New Showrunner Info

The Walking Dead: Dead City ended its second season with a disheartening turn of events in more ways than one. The series killed off my homie Bruegel, Herschel betrayed his own mama to be with the Dama, and Maggie still couldn't bring herself to just go ahead and kill Negan. Like girl, either kill the man or be his friend, stop this back and forth! Maggie, Negan, and Armstrong decide to stay in NYC as New Babylon takes over and gains control. It felt inevitable, so it is not shocking that AMC is renewing The Walking Dead: Dead City for a third season. Maggie needs to somehow win her son back over, but that's going to be hard. He's deeply brainwashed by Dama and upset with his mom for not killing Negan. I assume the Bricks is just left to its own devices at this point. Meanwhile, Negan is back to having pretty much nothing and no one after losing all of his men and power in that final battle. RELATED ARTICLE What Happens to Maggie and Negan in THE WALKING DEAD: DEAD CITY Season 2 Finale? He's reeling over the death of Ginny and for some reason isn't wanting to be with his wife and son in another locale. I will never understand that man. And Armstrong is no longer fully on board with New Babylon's actions, which spells eventual trouble for him. There's a lot to wrap up in The Walking Dead: Dead City season three, whenever it arrives. For now, we already have a brief synopsis for season three: In season three, Maggie and Negan finally put aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse, but when chaos in the city begins to arise, they are forced to question: have they learned from their old wounds or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city? Y'all. This synopsis is wild. I would have never thought these two would build a community as co-leaders, especially in a wild place like Manhattan. Who will the residents be? Will some of the Bricks people live there? How are they going to do this with New Babylon all over the place? Who knows. We do know that Seth Hoffman will be Dead City's new showrunner, replacing Eli Jorné. It's not totally clear why Jorné is leaving the series but Hoffman was responsible for some great episodes of the flagship series like 'Too Far Gone.' So I'm confident that he will take Maggie and Negan's story to a new level. 'We're thankful to Eli Jorné for two seasons of Dead City that took the story of these iconic characters in exciting new directions and broadened this thriving Universe by introducing a new corner of the walker apocalypse,' said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks. 'As we continue to create new stories for a passionate TWD fanbase, we're delighted to have a seasoned Walking Dead veteran like Seth Hoffman at the helm of a new season, alongside the remarkable Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, that will bring new adversaries and alliances and push the boundaries of Maggie and Negan's conflicted relationship.' And it seems we won't have to wait too long for another season. Production is set to begin in Boston this fall. Before we know it, we will be back in the New York groove. Solve the daily Crossword
