Prime accused in Murshidabad father-son murder during Bengal violence arrested

The Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal Police has arrested the prime accused in the murder of a man and his son in violence-hit Murshidabad district in West Bengal. Police sources confirmed to India Today that a 24-year-old man named Fekarul Sk, alias Mohak, was arrested last night in the Domjur area in Howrah is a resident of Shamserganj in Murshidabad district of the state. According to STF sources, he was one of the individuals who physically attacked the victims with a sharp weapon, killing the father-son duo during the violence in Murshidabad on April Sheikh was on the run after the double murder. He took shelter in Howrah and started working as a labourer in Domjur. His name was revealed during the interrogation of other arrested accused in custody. Based on their statements, the STF raided the Domjur area and arrested Fekarul last night. This is the fifth arrest by West Bengal Police in the case. Several houses of Hindus were ransacked in the violence, forcing them to take shelter in relief camps in neighbouring April 11, the bodies of Harogobindo Das (70) and his son Chandan (40) were found with multiple stab wounds in Jafrabad. Three people have been arrested in connection with the family had to perform the last rites of the father-son duo themselves as the priest did not turn up due to fear, a report said.
