Diver's incredible three-word reaction after shark drags her underwater in horror GoPro video
Sam Anderson and Jasmine Warneford were diving in water near Red Bluff in Western Australia when a huge tiger shark appeared and began to drag Jasmine underwater Two spearfishers have been lucky to escape a terrifying encounter with a massive tiger shark off the remote coast of Western Australia. Sam Anderson and Jasmine Warneford were diving near Red Bluff — a popular but isolated camping and surfing spot around 1,020km north of Perth — on April 21 when the shark suddenly appeared. It first attempted to snatch their catch before turning aggressively toward Mr Anderson, approaching with its jaws wide open before he managed to fend it off with his spear. As the shark swam away, it latched onto a fish attached to Ms Warneford's float line. The rope, still tied around her waist, dragged her about 10 metres underwater before she managed to cut herself free. The harrowing moment was captured on Ms Warneford's GoPro, showing her being flipped over and pulled beneath the surface while Mr Anderson frantically swam to help. However, Ms Warneford appeared unfazed by the encounter. After sharing the shocking footage on Instagram, one pal commented: "Omg!!! Bet you loved it though," to which she replied: "you know me x." It comes just days after a dad-of-four was horrifically killed by sharks at a popular tourist destination after he desperately tried to fight the predators off with his GoPro. Barak Tzach, aged 40, has now been confirmed as the man who died following a two-day search. Police have confirmed remains that had been found at the site of the attack on Israel's Mediterranean coast matched those of Barak Tzach, from Petach Tikva. Distressing footage shows the moment the man appeared to be battling with the predator in the sea off Hadera, Israel, in front of horrified crowds. Forensic tests conducted at the Abu Kabir Institute later confirmed the remains belonged to Tzach, who had entered the water armed only with 'a mask, snorkel, fins and a GoPro camera – without any fish or bait.' His final moments were caught on footage showing him thrashing in the water before it turned red. A relative told Israel National News: "In a conversation I had with a fisherman who witnessed the incident. I was told that he swam alongside the shark and later moved a little further out. "He photographed the sharks from a distance, but did not touch them or feed them. When they started getting too close to him, he used the stick of the GoPro camera to gently push them away." Witnesses described hearing the swimmer's desperate screams for help as he shouted "they're biting me" before he started thrashing around and was pulled under the water. Moments before the attack the shark was filmed swimming between children's legs in the sea in the shallow waters as stunned beachgoers watched on, unable to help.

Aussie diver captures the terrifying moment a hungry shark dragged her 10metres underwater
A diver has captured the spine-tingling moment she was encircled and then dragged 10metres underwater by a large tiger shark on her GoPro camera. Jasmine Warneford and Sam Anderson were targeted by the shark during a dive off Kalbarri, 575km north of Perth, on Tuesday. The pair had been spearfishing in shallow water for about five hours when they were approached by the shark. The shark first ate one of the fish they had caught before it turned to Mr Anderson and tried to bite him, who was able to dodge the advance. To their relief, the shark appeared to lose interest and began swimming away. But, just seconds later it began pulling at another fish on the end of a float line tied around Ms Warneford's waist. As the shark swam off with its meal, Ms Warneford was dragged some 10metres through the water behind it. 'The float line was connected around my waist as the shark was pulling away the fish... it pulled really hard around my waist, my whole body flipped around and it was kind of dragging me backwards, so I kind of had to let myself go and relax,' Warneford told PerthNow. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jasmine Ashley Warneford (@jasmine_warneford) The pair had been spearfishing in shallow water for about five hours when they were approached by the large tiger shark (pictured) Ms Warneford's footage showed her being dragged through the water as Mr Anderson desperately swam after her. 'The trust we had for each other during that moment was incredible considering we barely know each other... it's definitely bonded us for life,' Ms Warneford said. She eventually managed to cut the float line and free herself from the shark. Ms Warneford believed the only reason she was able to escape the situation was due to her remaining calm. 'It was a really incredible experience. The shark definitely just wanted the fish, it didn't want us, it only wanted Sam for the fact he was poking it with his gun to get it away from the fish,' she said. Although the shark had pillaged all the fish they had caught, the pair were still able to spear another two and enjoyed a seafood dinner.

Making headlines today is the story of a Perth family burnt by a building company's collapse – twice. In 2021, Cara Godwin and her husband Jason employed Modco Residential – the building company helmed by glamour couple Yusuf Khan and Cynthia Lu who left behind a trail of shattered hopes, unpaid bills, and unanswered questions when the empire crumbled within years. The Godwins picked themselves up and brought in Ultimo Constructions, then thought of as one WA's best boutique builders. Fast forward a year – and through 'many delays, money wasted, numerous emails and calls' – and all the family has is a concrete slab after the company collapsed last month. Sarah Brookes has the full story. You can read all about it here. Speaking of the state of housing, a new report reveals anyone on JobSeeker, youth allowance or the disability pension was totally locked out of every single private rental in WA. Anglicare WA's Rental Affordability Snapshot looked at the 3523 private rentals available on March 15 and 16 and found the median rental cost was up 5 per cent from last year to $680 per week. Of these houses, there were none affordable for people living with government income support – including single rooms.
