Warren Killian's top tips to glam up for the cam
South African women love to take selfies at social events or the perfect profile pic for their social media pages. So, how do you glam up and be camera ready for the perfect pic.
Well known, Durban make-up artist, Warren Killian let us in on a few tricks.
The dewy or glowing look that's on-trend presently may look fabulous, however it's an epic fail for the camera.
'Dewy make-up looks lovely in person; it unfortunately translates as oily on camera especially with flash photography. My advice would be to lean more toward matte foundations especially for long events that have photo opportunities,' said Killian.
He encourages the use of powder to achieve a flawless look. And, if you have dry skin take care to be light handed with the powder or skip it all together or a light application along the T Zone will eliminate any unfavourable shine.
The vast colour palettes at our disposal make us spoilt for choice, and we may choose incorrectly. Killian is a firm believer in the Mocha Mouse colour tones, the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2025.
'This is one of my favourite tones. These are soft warm brown hues that compliment every skin tone and when it comes to make-up application, this is a neutral colour that perfectly complement every outfit,' said Killian.
