One man received critical injuries after motorcycle hit a mailbox
WASHINGTON, Ill. (WMBD) — A man was critically injured after his motorcycle hit a mailbox Friday evening. The Washington Police Department was called to the 100 block of Legion Road near the CEFCU Bank at 8:01 p.m. Friday, May 30, to a report of a single vehicle crash, said Chief Jeff Stevens. When officers arrived, they found a critically injured man who had been thrown off a motorcycle and took him to a local hospital, he said. During an investigation, officers learned that he was driving north on Legion Road when it crossed over into the south lane and hit a mailbox near the side of the road, throwing him off the motorcycle, he said. One dead after being hit by a car in Washington County
An investigation is underway after a person was hit by a car in Washington County just before 12:30 a.m. on Saturday morning. According to information from the Washington County Coroner's office, a driver stopped to help another driver in the 800 block of Jefferson Avenue in the City of Washington. One of the drivers who had pulled over stopped because they believed they had hit an animal on the road. Once they learned it was a person, they called 911. The Washington Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, and Washington Fire Department responded to the scene and pronounced the victim dead. The Washington Police Department is investigating, and the coroner's office has said that the identity of the victim is on hold until the next of kin is notified.

"Suspect chanted 'Free, free Palestine' while in custody," Washington Police chief was quoted as saying by the news agency Reuters Two staff members of the Israeli embassy in Washington were shot and killed Wednesday evening (local time) near a Jewish museum in Washington, DC. According to the Washington Police chief, the suspect was seen pacing outside the museum before the shooting and was later detained by event security. While in custody, the suspect repeatedly chanted "Free, Free Palestine." Authorities have not released the identity of the suspect. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump condemned the incident and said it was "based on antisemitism". "These horrible DC killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, now! Hatred and radicalism have no place in the USA. Condolences to the families of the victims. So sad that such things as this can happen! God Bless You ALL!" he said in a post on Truth Social.?? The Israeli ambassador was not involved in the incident and was not present at the location during the time of the shooting, a spokesperson for the Israeli embassy was quoted as saying by CNN.
