Harrowing video captured the aftermath of the incident, with water pouring out of a large hole in an acrylic panel on the ride, cascading to the deck below.
Several voices on the brief clip could be heard screaming for workers to "stop the slide," with one bystander captured on video telling another passenger that someone had fallen through the hole, though Royal Caribbean has not confirmed or denied the full extent of the cruise line did confirm the ship's identity in a statement to USA Today, telling the publication, "Our team provided medical care to an adult guest when acrylic glass broke off a water slide as the guest passed through the slide." Royal Caribbean did not identify the guest or the extent of his injuries, but added that the slide has been closed for the remainder of the cruise while they investigate what happened. A video uploaded to TikTok following the incident showed the gaping hole left in the ride.
