A woman is recovering after her truck hit a utility pole during a rollover crash in Darke County. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Deputies and medics responded at 12:49 p.m. on Wednesday to the 1700 block of State Route 49 on reports of a single-vehicle crash, according to a sheriff's spokesperson. She lost control of her truck and went off the left side of the road, hitting a utility pole. The spokesperson said that the truck rolled onto its side and came to a rest in a ditch. A 27-year-old woman was injured after a three-vehicle crash in Darke County Monday evening. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] Around 5:31 p.m. on Monday, crews were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 49 and Grubbs-Rex Road on reports of an injury accident. TRENDING STORIES: Sheriff's office pays tribute after local dispatcher dies UPDATE: Busy road closed after semi hits utility pole, wires down in Greene County Suspected drunk driver accused of ramming into police cruisers during chase arrested The preliminary investigation revealed that a Hyundai Tucson driven by 42-year-old Miles Hartzell of Greenville was traveling northwest on State Route 49 and attempted to turn left onto Grubbs-Rex road. Hartzell failed to yield the right of way to a Toyota Rav-4 driven by 27-year-old Suzette Ferguson of Richwood that was traveling southeast of State Route 49. The two vehicles collided, and Hartzell's vehicle spun into a Peterbilt 337 truck driven by 41-year-old Stephen Lamb of West Milton, who was stopped on Grubbs-Rex Road. Ferguson was taken to Wayne Healthcare and treated for minor injuries. Hartzell was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way when turning left. Hit and run leaves two hospitalized in Darke County

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash in Darke County Sheriff on Friday night. According to the Darke County Sheriff's Office, the crash occurred at the intersection of State Route 49 and Alternate State Route 49 North at approximately 8:04 p.m. The initial investigation found a Black 2017 Chevrolet Cruze, driven by a 43-year-old woman from Albany, Indiana was heading southeast on State Route 49. Officials said an unknown dark-colored vehicle crashed into the back of the Chevy and fled. Medics on the scene took the 43-year-old driver and her 45-year-old passenger (from Hartford City, Indiana) to Wayne Healthcare for minor injuries. The crash is still under active investigation, anyone with information is encouraged to call the Darke County Sheriff's Office at (937) 548-2020. 2 News will update this story as we learn more. An unknown dark colored vehicle was traveling southeast on SR 49 behind Thurston when it struck the rest of Thurston's vehicle and left the scene of the crash. Thurston and her passenger, 45-year-old Christina Devoe of Hartford City. Indiana were transported to Wayne Healthcare with minor injuries. Anyone who may have information on the vehicle that left the scene should contact the Darke County Sheriff's Office. The crash remains under investigation.
