Canadian music film We Forgot to Break Up coming to Rio Theatre
Karen Knox's new film, We Forgot to Break Up, tells the fictional story of The New Normals, a rising indie rock band made up of four friends from high school who moved to Toronto in the early 2000s. Their songs are hard, their relationships are fraught and they're trying to make it in an industry that wants to shape them into something else. The Canadian director talks with CBC Vancouver about what she previously described as an "artist coming-of-age story" and why she wanted to tell it.
