Now, file FIR for vehicle theft without going to police station in Pkl
1 2 Panchkula: If a vehicle is stolen in Panchkula, the owner now no longer needs to rush to a police chowki or police station to file a complaint. With the recent introduction of online FIR registration, one can simply log in to the Haryana Police's website to file the FIR. The registration number, time and location of the vehicle theft, along with a brief description of the incident needs to be mentioned. A copy of the FIR is also available for download after filing it. However, some police officials are facing issues due to the lack of information provided by people online. "Since FIRs get automatically registered, we only become aware of the crime after receiving this online report at our particular police station. But some people provide little information about the occurrence of the crime. We need detailed information from them. Earlier, when it was manual, we used to assist them in filing FIRs and also make them write all the details related to the incident," an investigating officer told TOI. According to the Panchkula police, so far only 15 e-FIRs for vehicle theft have been registered from the Chandimandir, Sector 20, and Raipur Rani police station areas. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like We Have No Words For Dog The Bounty Hunter's Transformation Cash Roadster Undo The number of e-FIR filings is low due to a lack of awareness about the online facility. According to the data provided under an RTI reply for manual FIRs, in 2021, 266 vehicles were reported stolen. This number surged to 409 in 2022 — the highest in the five-year period. Although thefts slightly dropped to 357 in 2023 and 346 in 2024, the first four months of 2025 have already recorded 142 cases, putting the year on track to exceed 420 thefts, if the trend continues — a potential five-year high. What cream biscuits do to your body: Trans fats, additives, and more
They may look harmless on the shelf, but cream biscuits are far from innocent. These sugary, cream-filled sandwich treats have become a go-to snack for kids and adults alike, often found in tiffin boxes, office drawers, and late-night pantry raids. But beneath their sweet, comforting flavour lies a mix of ultra-processed ingredients that could be doing more harm than good. Loaded with refined flour, artificial flavours, trans fats, and added sugars, cream biscuits offer little to no nutrition and yet they're widely consumed across age groups. Regular snacking on them may feel harmless at the moment, but over time, it can take a toll on your heart, metabolism, and overall health. So what exactly do cream biscuits do to your body? Let's break it down. Cream biscuits contain hidden trans fats and hydrogenated oils Most cream biscuits use hydrogenated vegetable oils or vanaspati in the cream layer. These ingredients often contain trans fats, which are linked to heart disease. According to Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health , trans fats not only raise LDL (bad) cholesterol but also lower HDL (good) cholesterol, increasing the risk of heart attacks and strokes. Even when the label says 'zero trans fat,' small amounts may still be present and can build up quickly if eaten regularly. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like We Have No Words For Dog The Bounty Hunter's Transformation Cash Roadster Undo Cream biscuits are ultra-processed and nutritionally empty Cream biscuits are classic ultra‑processed foods, designed more for convenience and indulgence than nourishment. They're typically loaded with additives, refined sugars, and artificial flavours, and completely lack real fiber, protein, or vitamins. In essence, they deliver empty calories without keeping you full or fueling your body well. According to a 2025 study in BMC Public Health , higher intake of ultra-processed foods (including items like cream biscuits or prepackaged sweet snacks) is significantly linked to major health risks, including obesity and type 2 diabetes. The study estimates that for every 10% increase in energy from ultra-processed foods, the risk of developing type 2 diabetes rises by about 13%, while the obesity risk increases by around 5% Cream biscuits are high in sugar and artificial additives That sweet filling isn't just sugar, it's often a mix of refined sugar, palm oil, stabilisers, and flavouring agents. The American Heart Association warns that added sugars can contribute to insulin resistance, chronic inflammation, and liver stress. Some cream biscuits also include artificial colours and flavours that may be linked to hyperactivity in children and poor metabolic health when consumed regularly. Cream biscuits cause blood sugar spikes and energy crashes Because they're made with refined flour and sugar, cream biscuits digest rapidly and spike your blood sugar. This leads to a short burst of energy, followed by a sharp crash making you feel tired, irritable, and hungry soon after. Over time, these spikes can stress your insulin response and increase the risk of prediabetes or fatigue-related issues. Cream biscuits contribute to long-term health risks Eating cream biscuits regularly may increase your chances of: Weight gain and belly fat Poor cholesterol profile Insulin resistance Fatty liver Hormonal imbalances Increased cravings for more processed snacks While the occasional biscuit won't harm you, daily or frequent intake adds up quickly, especially when combined with a sedentary lifestyle or other processed foods. Should you stop eating cream biscuits entirely? Not necessarily. You don't have to cut them out forever but moderation is essential. If you crave something sweet, try these healthier swaps: Whole grain crackers with nut butter Dark chocolate (70% or more) Fruits with yogurt Homemade granola bites These options give you the taste, texture, and satisfaction, without the long-term risks. 'Even Rajesh Khanna used placards I think,' says Suneel Darshan as he reacts to reports of Akshay Kumar using a teleprompter to say his dialogues
Akshay Kumar and producer Suneel Darshan shared a long professional association as they did seven movies together. Infact, the producer has said that he gave the actor 'Jaanwar' when nobody else was giving him work and Akshay had promised to do 100 movies with him. But the duo had a fall out as Akshay backed out of his project because as per Suneel, he did not want to work with Priyanka due to his personal problems. This film in question was 'Barsaat' which later went on to have Bobby Deol opposite Priyanka. In a recent interview, Suneel was asked if its true that Akshay uses teleprompters as per the recent reports. Reacting to it, he said during an interview with Vickey Lalwani, "I think it's good if an actor can memorise his lines but it is difficult. We managed it earlier because we did lesser work, focused work. But I started experiencing it towards the end of my journey with him. We didn't have teleprompters then but we had placards which he would read from. It's not the first time an actor did that. I think Rajesh Khanna also did that." He added further, "But talking about Akshay Kumar. He's not a bad guy firstly. Secondly, he has his good points, you can't deny it. Unfortunately, sometimes, your personal issues are not controllable and they come out. But he's not a bad guy." Suneel hinted that perhaps Akshay's wife Twinkle Khanna did not want him to do this film with Priyanka due to rumours of their affair. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like We Have No Words For Dog The Bounty Hunter's Transformation Cash Roadster Undo Talking about Akshay backing out of his film, Suneel had said, "Suddenly after asking that person to wait for 18 months for your dates, you one day just say, 'Sorry, I can't be a part of it.' I was shocked. The circumstances had reached such a point where… there were issues,' he explained. The decision was left to the producer. 'The audience, the public, the media did mention of a relationship, which the wife got more of…' Akshay later tried to make it up to the filmmaker by offering to work on another film instead. But by then, Suneel had already made up his mind, 'He did want to compensate by saying that I did the next film for you. But I did not. I just thought this was unbelievable. Coming from Akshay… your expectations were never too much.' However, now Suneel holds no grudges and still was all praise for Akshay's discipline and hard work.

Woman, pregnant with twins, survives 18-hour heart surgery
Mumbai: A 31-year-old woman, eight months pregnant with twins, was rushed to KEM Hospital for intense chest pain radiating down her spine, and breathlessness. Doctors found a tear in the main blood vessel that carries blood from the heart to the rest of the body. But delays in diagnosis and treatment cost nearly a day, and fearing the loss of all three lives, the family moved her to a private hospital. The mother, Tejaswini Hire, and her two preterm daughters remained at Jaslok Hospital for a month. The total expenses touched around Rs 30 lakh, covering an emergency caesarean, an open-heart surgery, and a month-long admission for all three. The twins turned two months old on Sunday. "At KEM, I was told the costs could be Rs 4 lakh, but the risks seemed too high and we had lost trust," said Nishant Hire, the twins' father. The family lives in Ramabai Ambedkar Nagar in Ghatkopar. "We had to borrow from friends and family, all our savings are exhausted, but at least all three are alive and safe," Hire said. It was a high-risk case with low survival chances, but we were prepared to operate. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like We Have No Words For Dog The Bounty Hunter's Transformation Cash Roadster Undo In the end, it was the patient's choice." Cardiothoracic surgeon Dr Hemant Pathare, who performed the surgery, explained that in medical terms this was a case of an aortic dissection caused by a genetic disorder called Marfan syndrome. The syndrome can lead to serious heart problems. "The tear had extended to her coronary artery, and the aortic valve was leaking significantly. This caused severe fluid congestion in her lungs, and she had to be put on ventilator. Eventually, there were more complications impacting almost her entire body," he said. The open-heart surgery lasted 18 hours. By the time Tejaswini reached Jaslok, doctors were unable to detect the heartbeat of one of the babies, prompting an emergency C-section. "Marfan syndrome is risky even outside pregnancy, but during pregnancy, the risk to the mother's life is far more. The most dangerous part is that cardiac complications can strike at any time from the first day to just after delivery," said Dr Danny Laliwala, the gynaecologist who performed the delivery. Hire said Tejaswini is still recovering, while the twins are healthy. "She will have to be on lifelong blood thinners. This is likely the first such survival case in the world, given that maternal mortality in such situations can be as high as 50%, and infant mortality even higher," said Dr Pathare.
