Wednesday by name, Wednesday by nature! Jenna Ortega looks downcast in a Gothic-style outfit as she arrives in Sydney alongside Hollywood legend to promote Netflix series
Life seemingly imitates art for Jenna Ortega as she arrived at Sydney Airport looking very much like Wednesday from the eponymous series.
The Hollywood actress, who is Down Under for the opening of fan festival Wednesday Island in Sydney, failed to raise a smile as she walked through arrivals in an all-black ensemble.
The 22-year-old star rocked a leather coat over a tiny pair of denim shorts and a graphic T-shirt for the travel day.
She finished off the gothic-style outfit with chunky, buckled black boots and a studded leather bag, while throwing her locks in a half-up, half-down 'do.
She wore a serious face, similar to that of the titular character she plays, as she made her way through the terminal.
Jenna attempted to go incognito in a pair of sunglasses; however her bleached eyebrows, small frame and hefty security team gave her away.

Also arriving in Sydney was none other than gothic mastermind Tim Burton.
The American filmmaker, who has brought the likes of Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Beetlejuice to life on the screen, similarly opted for an all-black ensemble.
Tim wore a button-up shirt, coat and jeans as he arrived to a chilly Sydney winter, carrying a backpack as he made his way through the airport.
He, too, tried to slide under the radar with a black fedora and glasses.
Burton is an executive producer on Wednesday and has directed several episodes in seasons one and two of the hit Netflix show.
Emma Myers, who plays Wednesday's colourful Nevermore roommate Enid Sinclair in the popular series, also touched down in Sydney with Jenna and Tim.
The actress wore an oversized grey hooded sweater, which she used to shield her face from the paparazzi upon arrival.
She paired the sweater with baggy jeans and dark shades.

The actress appeared nervous, biting at her nail as her security shooed away an excited fan.
The first four episodes of Wednesday's second season debuted to critical acclaim at the beginning of the month.
The second half of the season is expected to hit screens in September.
The show, a spin-off from hit comic series The Addams Family, made headlines in 2022 after its first season nabbed the number one most popular English-language TV title ever on Netflix, according to Variety.
The second season is predicted to achieve similar success after it amassed over 50 million views in its first five days of streaming on the platform.
