M'luru-B'luru day trains cancelled for five months due to electrification work
Mangaluru: Three pairs of day trains between Mangaluru and Bengaluru were cancelled for 155 days by South Western Railway (SWR) to facilitate railway electrification on the . Similarly, train No. 16540 Mangaluru Junction-Yesvantpur Weekly Express, operating on Sundays, was cancelled from June 1 to Nov 2. Train No. 16575 Yesvantpur-Mangaluru Junction Gomteshwara Tri-weekly Express, which runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, was cancelled from June 1 to Oct 30. Its pairing train, No. 16576 Mangaluru-Yesvantpur Gomteshwara Tri-weekly Express, running on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, was cancelled from June 2 to Oct 31. Train No. 16515 Yesvantpur-Karwar Tri-weekly Express, which operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, was cancelled from June 2 to Oct 31. Its return service, train No. 16516 Karwar-Yesvantpur Tri-weekly Express, running on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, will also be cancelled from June 3, 2025, to Nov 1, 2025.

Yard modification works at Dharmavaram force cancellation of several trains
South Central Railway has notified the cancellation, diversion and regulation of train services in connection with Phase II Yard modification works at Dharmavaram in Guntakal division. Train Nos 06595/06596 KSR Bengaluru-Dharmavaram-KSR Bengaluru MEMU Special trains will remain cancelled between May 5 and 17. Train No 77213 Guntakal-Hindupur DEMU has been cancelled till May 17. Train No 77214 Hindupur-Guntakal DEMU will remain cancelled between May 5 and 18. Train No 16571 Yesvantpur-Bidar Express commencing journey on May 11, 12, 13 and 15 will be cancelled. Train No 16572 Bidar-Yesvantpur Express commencing journey on May 12, 13, 14 and 16 will be cancelled. Train No 16583 Yesvantpur-Latur Express commencing journey on May 10, 14, 16 and 17 will be cancelled. Train No 16331 CSMT Mumbai-Thiruvananthapuram Central Express commencing its journey on May 11 will run via Guntakal, Gooty, Kadapa, Renigunta, Melpakkam, Katpadi and Jolarpettai, skipping its regular scheduled stoppages between Anantpur and Bangarpet. Train No 00635 SMVT Bengaluru-Guwahati Parcel Express commencing its journey on May 8 and 15 will be diverted via SMVT Bengaluru, Jolarpettai, Renigunta, Gudur and Vijayawada. It will skip stoppages between Dharmavaram and Guntur. Train No 00636 Guwahati-SMVT Bengaluru Parcel Express commencing its journey on May 5 and 12 will be diverted via Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta, Jolarpettai and SMVT Bengaluru, skipping stoppages between Guntur and Dharmavaram. Train No 00640 Tugalakabad-Yesvantpur Parcel Express commencing its journey on May 13 will be diverted via Guntakal Bypass, Ballari, Rayadurg, Chikjajur and Yesvantpur. To cater to the extra rush of passengers during the summer holidays, the Railway Board has approved the continuation of the following Summer Special Express trains. These trains were earlier notified to run up to May 2025 and will now be extended further with the same days of service, timings and stoppages. Train No 07323 SSS Hubballi-Banaras Special Express, running every Saturday, was earlier notified to operate up to May 10 and is now extended from May 17 to June 28 for seven additional trips. Train No 07324 Banaras-SSS Hubballi Special Express, running every Tuesday, was earlier notified to run up to May 13 and is now extended from May 20 to July 1 for seven additional trips. The revised coach composition will include two AC-3 Tier coaches, seven Sleeper Class, nine General Second Class and two SLR/D coaches, totaling 20. Train No 07327 Belagavi-Mau Special Express, operating every Sunday, was earlier notified to operate up to May 11 and is now extended from May 18 to June 29 for seven more trips. Train No 07328 Mau-Belagavi Special Express, running every Wednesday, was earlier notified to run up to May 14 and is now extended from May 21 to July 2 for seven additional trips. The revised coach composition includes two AC-2 Tier coaches, five AC-3 Tier, 10 Sleeper Class, two General Second Class and two SLRD, totaling 21. To clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer holidays, North Central Railway had earlier notified six trips of special trains in each direction between Kanpur Central and SMVT Bengaluru. However, due to non-interlocking works over South Central Railway, these special trains will now run for only three trips in each direction instead of six. The remaining three trips have been cancelled. Train No 04131 Kanpur Central-SMVT Bengaluru Special Express will run on May 11 and has been cancelled on May 18, 25 and June 1. In the return direction, Train No 04132 SMVT Bengaluru-Kanpur Central Special Express will run on May 7 and 14 and has been cancelled on May 21, 28 and June 4. South East Central Railway has notified the cancellation of the following four weekly train services due to signalling and safety-related works at Gondia, being undertaken as part of the Raj-Nandgaon-Kalamna third line project under the Nagpur Division. Train No 17322 Jasidih-Vasco-da-Gama Express, journey commencing on May 5, 2025, will be cancelled. South Western Railway has decided to revise the timings of the Malgudi Express and Passenger trains over its jurisdiction starting May 5. Train No 20623 Ashokapuram-KSR Bengaluru Malgudi Daily Express will now leave Ashokapuram at 8.20 a.m., instead of the earlier departure time of 8.30 a.m. En route, the train will arrive at/leave Mysuru at 8.30/8.35, Pandavapura at 8.54/8.55, Mandya at 9.11/9.12, Maddur at 9.26/9.27, Channapatna at 9.42/9.43, Ramanagaram at 9.52/9.53, Bidadi at 10.05/10.06 and Kengeri at 10.22/10.23, reaching its destination, Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna Bengaluru Station, at 11.05 a.m. instead of at 11.20 a.m. Train No 56210 Mysuru-Chamarajanagar Daily Passenger will leave Mysuru at 8.05 a.m., instead of at 8.20 a.m. It will arrive at and leave the following stations as per revised timings: Chamarajanagar at 8.11/8.12, Ashokapuram at 8.18/8.34, Kadakola at 8.48/8.49, Tandavapura Halt at 8.54/8.55, Sujathapuram Halt at 9/9.01, Nanjangud Town at 9.06/9.08, Chinnadagudihundi Halt at 9.17/9.18, Narasambudhi Halt at 9.21/9.22, Kavalande Halt at 9.28/9.29, Konanur Halt at 9.34/9.35, Badanaguppe Halt at 9.40/9.41, Mariyal Gangavadi Halt at 9.46/9.47 and arrive at Chamarajanagar at 10.10 a.m., which remains unchanged, according to a press release from Chief Public Relations Officer, South Western Railway, Manjunath Kanamadi.

Some trains to run as per monsoon timings starting June 15
Konkan Railway Corporation Limited has advised the implementation of the Monsoon Time-Table for the following trains running over South Western Railway. The Monsoon Time-Table will be in effect from June 15 to October 20, 2025, to ensure safe and efficient train operations during the rainy season. The revised timings will apply to trains leaving their originating stations on or after June 15. The following trains will run as per Monsoon Timings: Train Nos 16595/16596 KSR Bengaluru-Karwar-KSR Bengaluru Daily Express, Train Nos 16585/16586 SMVT Bengaluru-Murdeshwar-SMVT Bengaluru Daily Express, Train Nos 16515/16516 Yesvantpur-Karwar-Yesvantpur Tri-weekly Express, Train Nos 12741/12742 Vasco-da-Gama–Patna–Vasco-da-Gama Weekly Superfast Express, Train Nos 11097/11098 Pune-Ernakulam-Pune Weekly Express. Passengers should check the revised timings before travelling. The updated schedule will be available on the official Indian Railways websites and at railway stations. Revised timings It has been decided to speed up and revise the timings of Train No 12725 KSR Bengaluru-Dharwad Siddaganga Daily Express, Train No 12726 Dharwad-KSR Bengaluru Siddaganga Daily Express and Train No 16239 Chikkamagaluru-Yesvantpur Daily Express starting May 1, 2025. To know the detailed revised timings of these trains, please click on the following link: Rescheduling Due to essential maintenance and distressing works on railway tracks between Haveri and Byadgi stations, Train No 17325 Belagavi-Mysuru Vishwamanava Daily Express will be rescheduled. As stated earlier, Train No 17325 was notified to be regulated en route for 105 minutes during its journey on April 29, May 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 15, and 16, 2025. However, the departure time of the train and the duration of regulation en route have now been changed. As per the revised schedule, Train No 17325 will leave Belagavi at 7.15 a.m. instead of the scheduled 6.15 a.m. The train will also be regulated en route for about 45 minutes on the scheduled days. Special trains To clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer holidays, North Central Railway has decided to run Summer Special Express trains between Kanpur Central and Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal (SMVT) Bengaluru. These trains will run six trips in each direction. The services are as follows: Train No 04131 Kanpur Central-SMVT Bengaluru Special Express will leave Kanpur Central at 7.50 p.m. every Sunday till June 1 and will arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 6.30 p.m. on Tuesdays. In the return direction, Train No 04132 SMVT Bengaluru-Kanpur Central Special Express will leave SMVT Bengaluru at 7.10 a.m. every Wednesday from April 30 to June 4 and reach Kanpur Central at 2 a.m. on Fridays. En route, the train will have stoppages at Fatehpur, Prayagraj, Shankargarh, Manikpur, Satna, Katni, Jabalpur, Itarsi, Nagpur, Ballarshah, Sirpurkaghaznagar, Bellampalli, Manchiryal, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur, Perambur, Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Bangarpet and Krishnarajapuram in both directions. The train will consist of 19 ICF coaches: one AC 2-Tier, two AC 3-Tier, eight Sleeper Class, six General Second Class and two SLR/D coaches.
