Train No 00635 SMVT Bengaluru-Guwahati Parcel Express commencing its journey on May 8 and 15 will be diverted via SMVT Bengaluru, Jolarpettai, Renigunta, Gudur and Vijayawada. It will skip stoppages between Dharmavaram and Guntur.
Train No 00636 Guwahati-SMVT Bengaluru Parcel Express commencing its journey on May 5 and 12 will be diverted via Vijayawada, Gudur, Renigunta, Jolarpettai and SMVT Bengaluru, skipping stoppages between Guntur and Dharmavaram.
Train No 00640 Tugalakabad-Yesvantpur Parcel Express commencing its journey on May 13 will be diverted via Guntakal Bypass, Ballari, Rayadurg, Chikjajur and Yesvantpur.
To cater to the extra rush of passengers during the summer holidays, the Railway Board has approved the continuation of the following Summer Special Express trains.
These trains were earlier notified to run up to May 2025 and will now be extended further with the same days of service, timings and stoppages.
Train No 07323 SSS Hubballi-Banaras Special Express, running every Saturday, was earlier notified to operate up to May 10 and is now extended from May 17 to June 28 for seven additional trips.
Train No 07324 Banaras-SSS Hubballi Special Express, running every Tuesday, was earlier notified to run up to May 13 and is now extended from May 20 to July 1 for seven additional trips.

To clear the extra rush of passengers during the summer holidays, North Central Railway had earlier notified six trips of special trains in each direction between Kanpur Central and SMVT Bengaluru. However, due to non-interlocking works over South Central Railway, these special trains will now run for only three trips in each direction instead of six. The remaining three trips have been cancelled.
Train No 04131 Kanpur Central-SMVT Bengaluru Special Express will run on May 11 and has been cancelled on May 18, 25 and June 1.
In the return direction, Train No 04132 SMVT Bengaluru-Kanpur Central Special Express will run on May 7 and 14 and has been cancelled on May 21, 28 and June 4.

Train No 56210 Mysuru-Chamarajanagar Daily Passenger will leave Mysuru at 8.05 a.m., instead of at 8.20 a.m. It will arrive at and leave the following stations as per revised timings: Chamarajanagar at 8.11/8.12, Ashokapuram at 8.18/8.34, Kadakola at 8.48/8.49, Tandavapura Halt at 8.54/8.55, Sujathapuram Halt at 9/9.01, Nanjangud Town at 9.06/9.08, Chinnadagudihundi Halt at 9.17/9.18, Narasambudhi Halt at 9.21/9.22, Kavalande Halt at 9.28/9.29, Konanur Halt at 9.34/9.35, Badanaguppe Halt at 9.40/9.41, Mariyal Gangavadi Halt at 9.46/9.47 and arrive at Chamarajanagar at 10.10 a.m., which remains unchanged, according to a press release from Chief Public Relations Officer, South Western Railway, Manjunath Kanamadi.

TIRUPATI: Tirupati Railway Station authorities have intensified measures to manage the summer surge in passenger traffic, particularly devotees heading to Tirumala for Srivari Darshan, by adding coaches to high-demand trains and operating special weekend services. In response, the South Central Railway (SCR) is taking proactive steps to manage the rush by attaching additional coaches to popular trains such as Narayanadri Express, Padmavathi Express, Venkatadri Express, and Rayalaseema Express, which connect Tirupati with major cities, especially Hyderabad. Speaking to TNIE, Tirupati Railway Station Director Kuppala Sathya Narayana said, 'We are monitoring the passenger traffic coming to Tirupati, especially for Srivari Darshan. Depending on the crowd and demand, we are prepared to attach extra sleeper class coaches to regularly operating trains between Tirupati and Hyderabad.' To ease congestion, SCR has introduced three special trains every weekend between Hyderabad and Tirupati, with corresponding return services. The zone has also launched special trains between Tirupati and Visakhapatnam to meet the high demand from coastal Andhra devotees. 'On normal days, Tirupati railway station handles a daily footfall of 60,000 to 80,000 passengers, but this number has seen a sharp increase during the summer vacation. We are taking all measures to ensure a smooth travel experience for passengers,' he added. Ticketing revenue at Tirupati station averages Rs 30 lakh per day and can peak at Rs 40 lakh during weekends and festival periods. Officials expect this upward trend to continue throughout June. Several trains short-terminated, cancelled to facilitate works
Five trains originating from or terminating at Visakhapatnam have been cancelled on June 2 and another on June 3 to facilitate the Pre-Non-Interlock & Non-Interlock works in the Rayagada-Vizianagaram section of Waltair Railway Division. The trains that have been cancelled on June 2 are 58538 Visakhapatnam-Koraput Passenger, 58537 Koraput- Visakhapatnam Passenger, 18512 Visakhapatnam-Koraput Bi-Weekly Express, 58528 Visakhapatnam- Raipur Passenger and 58527 Raipur- Visakhapatnam Passenger. Train no. 18511 Koraput- Visakhapatnam Bi-Weekly Express has been cancelled on June 3, according to K. Saandeep, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager. Meanwhile, train no. 17243 Guntur-Rayagada Express, scheduled to leave Guntur on June 1, will be short-terminated in Vizianagaram, and 17244 Rayagada-Guntur Express will leave from Vizianagaram instead of Rayagada on June 2. Rescheduled services Train no. 20830 Visakhapatnam-Durg Vande Bharat Express has been rescheduled and it will leave Visakhapatnam at 6.50 p.m. on June 2, instead of its scheduled departure at 2.50 p.m. Train number 20829 Durg - Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express has been rescheduled to leave Durg at 10.15 a.m. on June 2, instead of its scheduled departure at 5.45 a.m. Train no. 18190 Ernakulam-Tata Express, scheduled to leave Ernakulam on June 1 will leave at 10.15 a.m. instead of its scheduled departure at 7.15 a.m. Train no. 13352 Alappuzha-Dhanbad Express, scheduled to leave Alappuzha on June 1, will depart at 8 a.m., instead of its scheduled departure at 6 a.m. The railway authorities have urged the passengers to take a note of the changes and plan their journey accordingly.

SCR announces additional stoppage at Manchiryal for two express trains
Hyderabad: To facilitate the passengers, South Central Railway (SCR) has planned to provide additional stoppage at Manchiryal station for train no- 06157/06158, MGR Chennai Central – Bhagat Ki Kothi – MGR Chennai Central Express. An additional stoppage has been introduced at Manchiryal railway station for two express trains. Train no-06157 (MGR Chennai Central – Bhagat Ki Kothi Express) will begin halting at Manchiryal from May 28, with an arrival time of 6:14 am and departure at 6:15 am. Similarly, Train no-06158 (Bhagat Ki Kothi – MGR Chennai Central Express) will stop at the station starting May 31, arriving at 10:34 am and departing at 10:35 am.
