Lil Wayne bringing "Tha Carter VI" tour to Blossom Music Center
Leave it to Lil Wayne to wait until the last minute to announce one of the biggest tours of the year.
Driving the news: The rap legend revealed the dates Tuesday for his "Tha Carter VI Tour," which includes a stop at Blossom Music Center on Aug. 14.
Fellow rappers Tyga and Belly Gang Kushington will serve as the opening acts.
State of play: The tour kicks off in New York City on June 6, the same day Wayne drops "Tha Carter VI," his much-anticipated 14th studio album.
Flashback: Surprisingly, the traditionally flaky hip-hop star has been a regular in Cleveland in recent years.
He last played Northeast Ohio on his "Welcome to the Tha Carter Tour" at House of Blues in 2023.
Prior to that, he performed the NBA All-Star weekend at Rocket Arena in 2022 and opened for Blink-182 at Blossom in 2019.
