Wildeklawer schoolboy rugby festival: All the results
It was a festival of schoolboy rugby in Kimberley over the weekend. The 2025 edition of the Wildeklawer sports festival in Kimberley came to an end on Saturday night, after four days of action which included schoolboy rugby, hockey, football and netball. According to the organisers, a record-breaking 232 teams, representing 126 different schools all over South Africa, came together to compete. These teams comprised a total of 5,357 players and officials. Matches were played across the city at a number of different venues. Wildeklawer schools rugby festival in Kimberley: All the fixtures
It is a feast of sporting action in the capital of the Northern Cape. The annual Wildeklawer Sports Festival takes place over the coming days in Kimberley. Picture: Louis Botha/Gallo Images One of the country's biggest schools sporting festivals takes place in Kimberley over the coming days, including the hugely popular Wildeklawer Rugby Festival, which is being held from Thursday to Saturday. Rugby, netball, hockey and football will all be played, at junior and high school level, in Kimberley. According to the organisers, a record-breaking 232 teams, representing 126 different schools all over South Africa, will come together to compete. These teams comprise a total of 5,357 players and officials. Some of the sporting events have been happening since last Thursday already. Matches are being played across the city at a number of different venues. The opening ceremony will take place at Diamantveld High School at 5.30pm on Wednesday.
