Sadie Sink Might Play Mayday Parker In Spider-Man: Brand New Day
Last Updated: Mayday Parker, the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson, first appeared in Marvel Comics in What If…? #105 in 1998. Ever since Sadie Sink's name has been linked to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, fans have been busy guessing who she might play. The announcement came in March, but her character was never officially revealed. That led to all sorts of speculation. Some believed she might take on the role of Jean Grey. Others guessed that she might play Firestar or even Mary Jane Watson. Then came another round of rumours that Sadie could be playing Lily Hollister, better known as the villain Menace. That theory spread fast online. Many thought it made sense for the story. However, a new update has changed the direction of the discussion. It turns out, Sadie might not be a villain at all. Instead, she could be stepping into the shoes of a superhero. On a recent episode of the podcast The Hot Mic, industry insider John Rocha shared what he heard from a trusted source. According to him, Sadie Sink is playing Mayday Parker—the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. Rocha also mentioned that this Mayday won't be connected to Tom Holland's Spider-Man. She is said to be part of a different timeline, one that links her to Tobey Maguire's version of Peter Parker. That means she could be playing the daughter of Tobey's Peter and Kirsten Dunst's Mary Jane. Rocha said, 'My source heard Sadie Sink is playing Mayday Parker. So, connecting to the Tobey universe. She's his daughter." If this is true, the film may include a multiverse storyline. That could bring Sadie's Mayday into contact with Tom Holland's Spider-Man. More About Mayday Parker Mayday Parker first appeared in Marvel Comics in What If…? #105 in 1998. In different comic runs, she takes on the names Spider-Girl or Spider-Woman. She inherits powers from her father and becomes a hero in her own right. Her character made animated appearances in 2023's Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. But if this casting rumour turns out to be true, this would be her first time in a live-action film. Director Destin Daniel Cretton is still putting together the rest of the cast. One of the most recent additions is The Bear star Liza Colón-Zayas. But her role in the film is also being kept under wraps for now. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to begin filming later this year after Tom Holland finishes shooting for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on July 31, 2026. Avengers: Doomsday Cast Rumor Teases Major Marvel Superhero Team in Sequel
Avengers: Doomsday may bring back the Exiles from What If…?, according to new insider claims and growing speculation across fan communities. Although Marvel Studios has yet to confirm their involvement, recent scoops and the franchise's multiverse direction have fueled theories that characters like Kahhori, Byrdie, and Storm with Mjolnir could join the film's expanding cast. 'I hear the Exiles are in Avengers: Doomsday,' posted insider @MyTimeToShineHello on April 28, 2025, on X (formerly Twitter). The scoop hints at a crossover of multiversal proportions, suggesting the Exiles—originally introduced in Marvel's What If…? animated series—could play a role in the upcoming Avengers film. The MCU version of the Exiles likely includes Kahhori, Byrdie, and a variant of Storm wielding Thor's hammer—characters previously introduced in What If…?. Their potential return builds on Marvel Studios' expanding focus on alternate timelines and multiverse-driven narratives, seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Loki. In the comics, insectoid beings called the Timebreakers recruited the Exiles to fix broken realities. They operated from the Panoptichron, a hub outside space and time. The Timebreakers selected alternate versions of heroes—Blink (Earth-295), Morph (Earth-1081), Nocturne (Earth-2182), Mimic (Earth-12), and Magnus (Earth-27)—to carry out missions across divergent timelines. The team's lineup changed often. They battled Weapon X and clashed with alternate versions of Xavier and Magneto. Their journey led to a final confrontation with Hyperion at the Crystal Palace. Later arcs added new members like Psylocke and Sabertooth. Morph eventually became the team's leader. Together, they fought threats like the Time-Eater—a version of Kang who absorbed Galactus' powers. Marvel Studios has not confirmed the Exiles' appearance in Avengers: Doomsday, but their multiverse-centered missions align with the MCU's current direction. Their extensive comic history offers numerous characters and story arcs that Marvel could adapt for future films.

‘Avengers: Doomsday' Will Reportedly Revive Hayley Atwell's Captain Carter
Captain Carter Despite listing a whole lot of names in chairs, Avengers: Doomsday and its Secret Wars follow-up are apparently still hiding a few things, and now, Deadline is reporting on one of them. They're saying that Hayley Atwell will return to her role as Captain Carter in live-action, for the second time, in a deal that will have her appear in both upcoming Avengers movies. And this is after a 14 year history with Marvel that has rarely, if ever, properly used her character despite her being a part of multiple projects. At this point: Captain Carter It's a lot of screen time but again, it still feels like she was underused, somehow. Being relegated to a love interest at first is never all that great. Captain Carter was solid but cancelled when it could have continued. What If…? ended up not being a terribly good series in the end and making Carter the focus attracted a lot of flak since it was supposed to be an anthology. And even Atwell has said she was 'undermined' with her quick death in Multiverse of Madness. But after two deaths, Captain Carter is apparently back, pulled from…where? Maybe the What If…? universe if she somehow survived the events of that show, or maybe another one. It is a bit random, however. Maybe Marvel decided it was time to give her a real shot in the role. Maybe someone watched Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning. I don't know. But hopefully she's treated right this time and most importantly, survives.
