Sheridan Boulevard closed Sunday, 1 in custody: Wheat Ridge police investigate homicide
DENVER (KDVR) — The Wheat Ridge Police Department shut down Sheridan Boulevard in the 3900 block on Easter Sunday for a homicide investigation.
The agency said the homicide occurred at about 3:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of Sheridan Boulevard. The area is largely residential, but there is a shopping center located within the same block. The roadway reopened as of 8:30 p.m.

As of 6:15 p.m., Wheat Ridge Police had one suspect in custody for the incident.
Police said there is no danger to the public, but that the case is actively being investigated and information was limited.
Wheat Ridge police said that Sheridan Boulevard would be shut down 'potentially for hours' as investigators continued their work.
Denver, Lakeside and Lakewood police departments also responded to help with the investigation, along with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
