Happier Than Ever Hits 150 Weeks This week, Happier Than Ever dips to No. 49 on the Official Albums chart, slipping from No. 35. As it declines outside the top 40, it reaches 150 weeks on the ranking of the most consumed full‑lengths in the U.K. Eilish first debuted the set at No. 1, and since then, it has remained a consistent performer in the country. Billie Eilish's Third Release to Stay This Long Happier Than Ever is Eilish's third release to live on the main albums chart for at least 150 weeks. Her debut full‑length, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, has racked up 259 weeks on the tally, while her breakout EP Don't Smile at Me has reached 247 stays. Happier Than Ever Rises on Some Rankings While Happier Than Ever declines on the main albums and streaming charts, it climbs on several other lists across the pond this week. The project improves to No. 31 on the Official Albums Sales chart, up from No. 46, and jumps to No. 30 on the Official Physical Albums ranking, rising from No. 42. It has previously peaked at No. 1 on nearly every major U.K. albums list, but it did miss the summit on the streaming tally by just one slot. Billie Eilish's Catalog Benefits From Her Tour All of Eilish's full‑lengths are currently charting in the U.K., and they recently surged as her ongoing Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour visited the nation. Later this month, she'll trek to Manchester and headline four dates in that city, before flying to Dublin. From there, she'll travel to Japan and then launch another leg throughout the United States before the year is over. To celebrate Eilish's tour hitting the United Kingdom, fans in the country have been consuming all three of her albums in huge numbers. Interestingly, her debut full-length is the greatest gainer at the moment, even though her current trek focuses on the music presented on her third project, Hit Me Hard and Soft. Billie Eilish's Debut Album Returns in a Big Way When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, the project that introduced Eilish to the world more than half a decade ago, currently appears on four charts in the U.K. The bestselling effort returns to all four as streams and sales of the full-length grew considerably. When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? lands at No. 82 on the Official Albums chart, a general consumption tally, and reenters lowest at No. 92 on the Official Albums Sales list. It also appears on both the Official Physical Albums and Official Albums Streaming rosters, in positions between those two numbers. Years on the Charts for Billie Eilish's First Album In the past, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? has reached No. 1 on all four charts, but the length of time it has spent on each varies widely. Among the four tallies where Eilish's debut project can be found, it has spent the least amount of time on the Official Albums Sales list, racking up 167 frames. The full-length is now up to 265 stays on the Official Albums Streaming roster — almost exactly 100 weeks longer than on the main sales ranking. All Three of Billie Eilish's Albums Live on the Charts All three of Eilish's albums — When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, Happier Than Ever, and Hit Me Hard and Soft — appear on multiple charts in the U.K. at the moment. While the first of the bunch enjoys the greatest comeback, it also appears on the fewest tallies and ranks the lowest. Meanwhile, Hit Me Hard and Soft nears the top 10 on several.

Billie Eilish says ‘I grew up poor with just one pair of shoes and a shirt'
Billie Eilish has revealed that she had an upbringing far from the glamour of showbusiness, with the popstar recalling how she grew up 'poor with one pair of shoes and a shirt'. Over the past seven years, Billie Eilish has emerged as one of the most influential artists of her generation, shaking up pop with her diverse sound and unique style. 'Billie has undeniably altered the course of 21st-century music,' Thomas Smith, editor of Billboard UK tells Mirror of the star, who is currently touring. 'She turned the whole industry on its head, bringing something so fresh and new with her.' As many cultural experts have noted, her music – including three No1 albums to date – defies all classification. 'Billie is not any one genre, but she has this beautiful voice that can sound so current, but also like it's from decades ago, or even the future,' says Nina Nannar, arts editor of ITV News. 'She's not like Taylor Swift or Sabrina Carpenter, or anybody else. She's just distinctly herself, and she just seemed to become one of the biggest artists on the planet effortlessly.' Though still only 23, Billie has made history with a series of record-breaking milestones. For starters, she was the youngest female artist in UK chart history to bag a No1 album with her debut, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? in 2019, when she was just 17. The following year, she became the youngest artist to win all four major Grammy categories in a single night, and then her 2020 song No Time T o Die made her the youngest artist to write and perform a theme for the James Bond franchise. 'It feels crazy to be a part of this in every way,' she said at the time. As if that weren't enough, the song later won her an Oscar, as did What Was I Made For? her track from the 2023 Barbie movie. Addressing topics such as depression, anxiety, body image and climate change, Billie is not afraid to speak out in interviews or in her songs. But, as Nina suggests, 'She doesn't set out to be brutally honest, she just says what's in her head. She arrived at the perfect moment, when a new generation who felt let down by world leaders were looking for alternatives, and truth. And fans were like, 'Oh, she's authentic. We believe her.'' Gennaro Castaldo from the BPI, the UK music organisation that stages the Brits, agrees. 'She knows her own mind and conveys a strong sense of independence, which gives her a bit of an anti-establishment, maverick vibe,' he says. 'She also has a certain vulnerability, and these are qualities that have always resonated with young music fans.' Billie was born in Los Angeles to actor-musician parents, who have always played a big role in her career. But she didn't enjoy the affluent showbiz upbringing many might assume. 'People have a really weird interpretation of how I grew up, and I think it's because I'm a girl, I'm from LA and an artist,' she has said. 'Automatically, people think you're from Beverly Hills or some sh*t. Not at all. I grew up with no money at all, I grew up poor. I had one pair of shoes and a shirt.' She was homeschooled with her older brother Finneas, now 27, and decided she wanted to be a performer after a childhood trip to see Matilda on Broadway. As teenagers, she and Finneas began working on songs together in his small bedroom, where her entire first album was recorded. 'They showed you don't need all the big, glossy production and technical stuff these days,' says Nina. 'But if you do make music in your bedroom, you've got to be damn good – and what Billie and Finneas achieved by themselves is absolutely unbelievable.' Their breakthrough came when Billie's first song Ocean Eyes went viral overnight in 2015, and she and Finneas cemented her position as pop's rising star with follow-up singles including Bury A Friend, You Should See Me I n A Crown and When T he Party's Over, which appeared on her first album. Worlds apart from much of the formulaic music dominating the charts, Billie's unusual vocal approach was obvious from the beginning. 'She can make these super-weird, dark songs, and yet also more commercial Oscar-winning songs,' says Thomas, who has interviewed Billie more times than any other British journalist. 'She just has that huge range.' Her biggest hit to date came with the anthemic Bad Guy, which was the highest-selling single globally in 2019. 'The response to Bad Guy? That changed my life,' she said. During the pandemic, Billie and Finneas made her second album, Happier Than Ever, which was released in July 2021 and hit No1 in 28 countries, with songs including Your Power, My Future and Oxytocin. Hot on its heels, she scored another first in June 2022 as she became the youngest person to headline Glastonbury, wowing 100,000 at the Pyramid Stage. 'Her set was absolutely unbelievable,' recalls Nina. 'She seemed so relaxed, and to be so comfortable headlining the biggest music festival on Earth aged just 20 really does take a special kind of person.' As usual, Billie's outfit for her moment of Glasto glory was a talking point, with her signature oversized streetwear and trainers matching the rebellious mood. But while she has been dubbed a 'misfit' and an 'outsider' in the past, her unconventional aesthetic is all part of her appeal. 'I'm lucky enough to be in a generation that's able to break every rule,' she has said. 'When I think about artists who grew up in a time where you could only have one genre and one look, and couldn't change that ever… That must have been torturous.' Always pushing limits, her third album Hit Me Hard A nd Soft also broke new ground, smashing sales records with the biggest opening week of 2024 in the UK. Its second single Birds Of A Feather was the world's most streamed song on Spotify last year too, even beating Sabrina Carpenter's megahit Espresso. Showing a new maturity, the album offered bold statements about her sexuality, which has always been the subject of speculation. 'She's found the confidence to talk about it, but has also made it clear she won't be pigeonholed,' adds Thomas. 'She just wants to be who she is, and to like whoever she likes – whether that's men, women or both.'

Yet, one woman's experience at a Billie Eilish gig took an unexpected turn when she found herself unable to hear the star due to an unusual disturbance. Ana, who goes by anapanaderoo on TikTok, went viral after posting a clip from the concert where an opera singer seemingly drowned out Eilish 's performance. The video, captioned "Who was singing opera next to me at the Billie Eilish concert?", showcases the moment Eilish's voice is overshadowed by powerful operatic vocals. The footage has racked up over 400,000 views and sparked a flurry of comments from shocked viewers. One person quipped: "Who's this diva (literally)?", while another remarked: "Out singing the singer." A third commented in disbelief: "Is this real? I'm weak." Another shared their mixed emotions, writing: "I would be so mad, then laugh. Then be mad when it never stops." One more viewer joked: "God forbid a Renaissance diva attends a Billie Eilish concert." Someone else lamented the high cost of tickets, adding: "With ticket prices these days, I would be so mad." Billie Eilish Glasgow fans camping out at Hydro ahead of tonight's gig
Billie Eilish is set to take to Glasgow's OVO Hydro stage tonight, Monday 7 July, as part of her highly-anticipated Hit Me Hard and Soft tour. Fans have been queing up in the early hours of Monday morning ahead of Billie Eilish taking to the stage at Glasgow hydro tonight, July 7. The Birds of Feather singer is also set to play on Tuesday, July 8 as part of her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour. Taking to social media to share a snippet of fans already gathered in Glasgow's OVO Hydro tunnel, there was a number of fans sprawled out on the ground at 1.25am. Some had even set up tents as they waited patiently ahead of tonight's show. However some weren't impressed, as they took to the comments of the TikTok to complain. "Camping is honestly so selfish and unfair for others," one fan fumed. "What do they do with the tents and sleeping bags when concert starts?," another responded confused. Another disappointed fan quipped "looks like I'm never getting a good space." However, one fan pointed out, "everyone with ovo live get in 30 mins before you all so i doubt you'll get barricade anyways." The last time the Copycat singer was in Glasgow she bulk ordered food for her team at Bucks Bar giving them their largest order ever received. She placed a whopping £1k order, including splurging on chicken wings, in to the venue for all the hardworking crew members after the show. Delighted Buck's Bar posted on their Facebook page moments after Billie's gig ended. They captioned the post: "BIGGEST BUCK'S BAR TAKEAWAY ORDER EVER! "@billieeilish knows how to look after her crew! £1000 takeaway order packed up and off to the @ovohydro for all her hard working team. "Well done to the team at Buck's Bar WRS for supplying the goods and looking after Billies crew over the last few days. "What a bunch of legends!" The restaurant shared snaps of staff bagging up and posing beside the huge food order before it went out for delivery. Billie was also spotted out and about in Glasgow on Tuesday before her gig, as she posed for photos with fans outside a vegan restaurant. The Happier Than Ever singer was all smiles when snapped with fans outside Mono Café Bar in Glasgow's Merchant City. Following her debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? topped charts around the world in 2019, Billie Eilish has continued to climb the ladder of fame. There have been two more studio albums, 2001's Happier Than Ever and last year's Hit Me Hard and Soft, along with a string of hit singles including Bad Guy, No Time to Die, Everything I Wanted, Happier Than Ever, Lunch and Ocean Eyes. Along the way she's won nine Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, three Brit Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and two Academy Awards. She's also become the youngest person to headline Glastonbury.
