Remains of woman wearing Southern Utah Basketball shirt found at bottom of Arizona cliff
MOHAVE COUNTY, Ariz. () — Arizona officials are seeking the public's help in identifying human remains that were found at the bottom of a cliff in the Beaver Dam area (roughly 30 miles away from St. George, Utah) on Friday, May 9.
'The female appeared to have fallen off the top of the cliff and had been in this location for several weeks,' the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said in a press release.
The cliff was estimated to be 80 feet tall. The woman had 'black matted shoulder-length hair' and was 'wearing and/or in the possession of' several items of clothing — including a red, long-sleeved Southern Utah Basketball shirt.
According to the sheriff's office, other clothing items the woman was in possession of are as follows:
Grey White Fable sweatpants, medium
A black knit cap for the Vegas Golden Knights
White and blue Nautica tennis shoes with no laces, size 10
Black Twisted Soul sweatpants, large
Black H&M t-shirt, extra large
'There is limited physical description information due to the decomposition of the body,' the sheriff's office said. 'At this time, the cause of death is still under investigation.'
The woman was found about four miles south of a Beaver Dam truck stop, and about one mile west of I-15, the sheriff's office said.
