Varun Beverages Declares 2nd Interim Dividend With Record Date, Announces New JV
The company has announced plans to set up a new joint venture in India for manufacturing visi-coolers and refrigeration equipment. The new company will be named White Peak Refrigeration Private Limited.
As per the disclosure made to stock exchanges, VBL will hold 50% stake in the venture, with the remaining 50% owned by Everest International Holdings Limited. The total paid-up capital of the company will be Rs 42.5 crore, with each partner contributing Rs 21.25 crore.
The company is yet to be incorporated, and no regulatory approvals are currently pending for its setup. The investment will be made through cash consideration, and shares will be issued at face value of Rs 10 per share.
This move is in line with Varun Beverages' strategy to expand its supply chain infrastructure and backward integration capabilities.
