Dave Kittok Honored for Accomplishments in Engineering

Maple Plain, Minnesota, United States, March 20, 2025 -- Marquis Who's Who, the world's premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to have endorsed Dave S. Kittok for his leadership and achievements in the engineering industry, particularly in the fields of automation and control systems. From Fluid Power Specialist to Industry Leader Mr. Kittok's journey began with coursework in Fluid Power at Hennepin Technical College in 1991, where he became certified as a fluid power specialist by the Fluid Power Society. His expertise in PLC control led him to become an adjunct professor at the same institution from 1992 to 1996, teaching night classes to industry professionals. 'Teaching PLC control to students from the industry was a pivotal experience,' Mr. Kittok reflects. 'I learned to program best when I was trying to teach students what was wrong with their systems and how to solve those problems.' Extensive Work in Automation and Control Systems Throughout his 34-year career, Mr. Kittok has held various positions including maintenance specialist, programmer and process engineer. In 2005, he founded Height Technology LLC, where he currently serves as the owner and a controls and fluid power engineer. Mr. Kittok's most notable achievement is his work at the 3M Utility Plant at 3M Center in Maplewood, Minnesota. The Utility Plant heats, cools and supplies city water to the 3M Center. 'We implemented a system with four servers and 10 different screens all around the plant that the operators can observe and control the operations of the plant from almost any location inside the complex,' he explains. 'It's a testament to the importance of adapting to new technologies and understanding client needs.' Recognition and Community Involvement Mr. Kittok's contributions to the field have not gone unnoticed. He has been featured in Millennium Magazine, named a Marquis Who's Who Top Engineer and received the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Mr. Kittok has been actively involved in his local church, serving as chairman from 1999 to 2012 and as a member of the board of elders from 1982 to 2012. He also served as its treasurer from 1982 to 1998 and was involved in the children's and teenage ministries. Also served as a coach in the Teens for Christ Bible Quizzing ministry. 'I'm not afraid to do the hard things,' Mr. Kittok says, reflecting on his approach to both his career and community service. 'There's always something new to learn. Be persistent.' Mr. Kittok attributes his success to God's blessing on his work, also his mentor Greg Crawley, head instructor at Hennepin Technical College, and his wife Kristie, whom he describes as 'a never-ending source of encouragement.'
