Ali Lee heads to Malaysia for new drama with Lai Lok Yi
16 Apr - Now that she has set up her own studio, Ali Lee confirmed that she is now in talks to shoot a new drama in Malaysia with Lai Lok Yi.
As reported on Wenweipo, the actress, who spoke to the media at an event last weekend, said that she is still discussing the details with production and that filming will begin at the end of June or early July if everything goes through.
She added that it would mean that she would be staying in Malaysia for more than two months.
Speaking about working with Lai again after "Who Wants a Baby" in 2018, the actress said, "We are good friends both in public and in private and one of the reasons I accepted the drama this time was him."
However, Ali is unsure whether they will play a married couple again this time around.
"This is my first time filming a Malaysian drama. I hope to bring surprises to everyone," she added.
On the other hand, when asked if she has added more staff to her company following its establishment last month, the actress said that she will take things slowly and was thankful to have met a group of people with whom she could work together.
