The teenagers were arrested on suspicion of multiple motoring offences including causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop after a road accident, failing to report an accident and driving other than in accordance with a licence. At the time, witnesses said the quad bike had briefly stopped before driving off towards Wickford town centre, Basildon Echo reports.
