Michigan football targeting 4-star Missouri commit

The post Michigan football targeting 4-star Missouri commit appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Michigan football team has landed some good wide receiver talent in its 2026 class, but after missing out on five-star Calvin Russell, the Wolverines are looking to add more talent. Michigan needs to be better at WR, and head coach Sherrone Moore knows that. So, Michigan is looking to flip a commit from Missouri to add to its class. Four-star WR Jabari Brady has been committed to Missouri since early June, but the Michigan football team is starting to pursue. This would be a big steal for the Wolverines. 'Michigan is pushing for Missouri WR commit Jabari Brady, @JohnGarcia_Jr reports,' Rivals said in a post. Jabari Brady is a four-star recruit, according to 247Sports' composite rankings. He is the #390 player in the 2026 recruiting class, the #58 WR and the #55 player in the state of Florida. Brady currently attends Monarch High School in Pompano Beach, FL. He has had a lot of success in high school and would be a good fit at Michigan. '2025: Participated in the Navy All-American Bowl,' Brady's scouting report states. 'Caught 1 pass for 9 yards on Team East. 2024: Started junior year at Chaminade-Madonna Prep before transferring back to Monarch. Caught 23 passes for 485 yards (21.1 YPC) and 7 TD in 7 games, per MaxPreps. Added 14 tackles, 2 PBU and 1 INT on defense. 2023: Sophomore campaign saw him catch 70 passes for 1,392 yards (19.9 YPC) and 10 TD. Defensively, credit with 29 tackles, 4 PBU and 2 INT. Helped Monarch go 11-3 and make semifinals of Florida's 4M playoffs. 2022: As a freshman at Monarch, caught 43 passes for 864 yards (20.1 YPC) and 6 TD. 2021: Got varsity snaps as an 8th grader at Westminster Academy.' Getting an elite recruit to flip is never easy, but Sherrone Moore and the Michigan football team have been recruiting at an elite level this summer. Adding another WR would be huge, and Jabari Brady is the one that the Wolverines want. Transfer WR gets real on move to Michigan football

The post Transfer WR gets real on move to Michigan football appeared first on ClutchPoints. The Michigan football team didn't get a lot of production from its wide receivers last season, so that was a big thing that needed to be addressed in the offseason. The Wolverines didn't bring in a ton of new talent in the transfer portal, but one intriguing addition is Indiana transfer Donovan McCulley. McCulley is trending toward being the top receiver for Michigan this season. Donovan McCulley spent four seasons at Indiana before transferring to the Michigan football team, and he actually began his career as a QB. Now, he is ready for the next chapter, and he is confident that the Wolverines are unlocking new parts of his game. 'I feel like I've adjusted pretty well, you know, I feel like they've helped me grow my game in ways that I maybe didn't even know I could,' McCulley said in an interview with MGoBlue TV. 'Me coming here just helped me elevate this in a lot of areas.' McCulley is continuing to get better throughout the offseason, and one thing that has helped him in his career is his experience as a QB. He knows what it's like to be in that position, and he knows to just let them do their thing. 'As a receiver, you don't want to be in the quarterback's ear, nothing like that,' he said. 'Like, you might tell him, like, 'Hey, he can't guard me.' Or, 'He's doing this,' but let the quarterback play his game, and the rock will find you, you know. So when I feel like I'm not getting the ball or something like that, it's not like a get mad type of thing. Like, 'Why didn't you throw me the ball?' It's like, 'Alright, I gotta block now, like, let's go block.'' The Michigan football passing game was non-existent last year, and that needs to change in 2025. The addition of Donovan McCulley should be a big help. Related: South Carolina steals 4-star RB from Florida State Related: LSU QB Garrett Nussmeier gets injury update from Brian Kelly

Michigan football fans will like transfer's outlook on 2025 WR room

The post Michigan football fans will like transfer's outlook on 2025 WR room appeared first on ClutchPoints. One of the biggest question marks surrounding the 2025 Michigan football team is the wide receiver room. The Wolverines were abysmal offensively last season, and the inability to create explosive plays through the air was why. It's hard to tell how much of the fault falls on the WRs as Michigan was far from having acceptable quarterback play, but that is why it's a big question mark heading into the season. The Michigan football team did make a big addition to the WR room this offseason by bringing in Indiana transfer Donaven McCulley. McCulley spent four seasons with the Hoosiers and had some successful years, and he is expected to be a major weapon this year for the Wolverines. He has been impressed with the WR room so far. 'I like that we have so many guys that that can go in there and make a play like, we've been rotating so much in practice because we have so many guys in the room,' McCulley said in an interview with MGoBlue TV. 'It's a lot of guys that go out there and just make a play, like I said, bring energy.' Michigan also hired a new offensive coordinator this offseason. Chip Lindsey is now leading the offense, and he is known for having some explosive units. McCulley likes his style. 'He likes to throw the ball, and he's just a down to earth guy, like he's gonna keep it real with you,' he said. The additions of Chip Lindsey and Donaven McCulley should pay dividends for the Michigan football team this season. Last year's offensive product wasn't close to meeting the standard, and that needs to change this season. The Wolverines will have a new quarterback as freshman Bryce Underwood should win the job, and he is expected to be a star. All of these changes should go a long way.
