With 76 days till the Cardinals open the season against the Saints, we look at the players who have worn No. 76. We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals and are now less than 11 weeks away. They will open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7. That is 76 days away. As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let's look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals. Who has worn No. 76? Cardinals players to wear No. 76 No. 76 is currently unassigned. Guard Will Hernandez wore it previously and is still unsigned as a free agent, which leads some to believe that he could come back. We will see. No. 76 has not been a high-impact number. Hernandez is arguably the best one, along with Iupati and Lutui. One sign that OL Will Hernandez could be returning to Arizona Cardinals

One sign that OL Will Hernandez could be returning to Arizona Cardinals The Cardinals apparently have not closed the door on re-signing G Will Hernandez. One thing suggests this One key free agent the Arizona Cardinals have not re-signed so far is offensive lineman Will Hernandez. He remains unsigned by any team and that probably has to do with the fact he is recovering from a torn ACL. With their lack of signing a clear starting guard in free agency and not drafting anyone that we could expect would start as a rookie, it is believed that Hernandez could still be in the Cardinals' plans. There is one sign that clearly shows they haven't closed the door. Hernandez' No. 76 remains unassigned on the Cardinals' roster. That might not be overly significant, but their sixth-round pick, guard Hayden Conner, wore No. 76 all through his college career at Texas. He was not given No. 76. He got No. 58. Not giving Conner or any other player No. 76 perhaps is the biggest sign that there is a decent shot at his return. He injured his knee October 6. Perhaps we will see him come in as a late July signing right before the start of training camp, which will be a little more than nine months after his injury. It will be something to keep an eye on. Latest top 50 prospect list includes 10 O-linemen

The Arizona Cardinals will need to address the offensive line this offseason. Tackle Kelvin Beachum and guards Will Hernandez, Evan Brown and Trystan Colon will all be free agents. They added Isaiah Adams and Christian Jones in the draft last year and Adams might be a starter this season, but they very well could be looking at drafting a linemen early in the draft. Who are some guys to know? In the latest top-50 prospect list from Draft Wire's Curt Popejoy, 10 offensive linemen, both tackles and interior linemen, make the cut. That includes four in the top 20. The Cardinals have the 16th pick in the draft so it is possible they could get one of those top players. They have two selections in the top 50, so here are the 10 linemen who would fit in that ranking. 2025 NFL draft top-50 players: 10 O-linemen No. 6: OT Will Campbell, LSU No. 14: OT Josh Simmons, Ohio State No. 16: OL Donovan Jackson, Ohio State No. 19: OT Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas No. 24: OL Tyler Booker, Alabama No. 28: OT Aireontae Ersery, Minnesota No. 31: OT Armond Membou, Missouri No. 34: OT Josh Conerly Jr., Oregon No. 35: OR Marcus Mbow, Purdue No. 39: OL Grey Zabel, North Dakota State Get more Cardinals and NFL coverage from Cards Wire's Jess Root and others by listening to the latest on the Rise Up, See Red podcast. 2025 offseason roster profile: G Will Hernandez

The Arizona Cardinals are in offseason mode and we are still weeks away from free agency and months from the NFL draft. Over the next little while, we will take a look at each player on the roster or signed to a reserve deal and break down where they stand with the team. We will look at their 2024 season, their contract status and what their status is for the coming offseason and 2025 season. Next up is guard Will Hernandez. 2024 Will Hernandez stats, season Hernandez, in his third season with the Cardinals, had his season cut short. He played in only five games before suffering a season-ending knee injury. We learned later it was a torn ACL. In those five games, he was penalized twice for holding and allowed only eight pressures, including no sacks. 2025 contract status Hernandez will be an unrestricted free agent, as his two-year, $9 million deal expires. Outlook for 2025 Hernandez would love to return. He will turn 30 years old just before the season starts and he is coming off knee surgery. He was playing very well before he got hurt and many fans could love to see him come back. However, his 2025 with the Cardinals is very much uncertain. We will see how free agency plays out, whether he re-signs or whether it takes a while before he signs because of the injury. OL Will Hernandez 'would love to stay' with Cardinals

Starting right guard Will Hernandez is one of the Arizona Cardinals' 20 players scheduled to be unrestricted free agents in March when the new league year begins on March 12. He has played the last three seasons for the Cardinals but had his 2024 season end after only five games when he suffered a season-ending knee injury that later was revealed as a torn ACL. While he was perhaps the Cardinals' best lineman over the last three years, he is coming off the injury and will be 30 years old when the 2025 season begins, so it is uncertain whether the team will want to re-sign him, especially when he isn't healthy yet. He made it clear that he would like to return. Speaking with PHNX's Bo Brack in New Orleans during Super Bowl week, Hernandez spoke about both his desire to come back but also his understanding that it isn't something he is focused on right now. 'Of course I would love to stay where I'm at, where I already built those relationships, where I already know what each person brings to the table,' he told Brack. 'I'm a very loyal kind of dog. Once I connect with someone, once I play in the trenches with these guys, I'm attached. 'I would definitely love to stay, but at the end of the day, it isn't up to me. I can't make these decisions, and if it happens where I can or I can't, we'll go off that and we'll see what the next step is. I haven't even thought about it.' There is one thing on his mind currently. 'The only thing I think about is getting this knee back to 100%, which is exactly what is happening.' The Cardinals have until March 10 to negotiate with Hernandez before he can begin talking to other teams. We will see if the Cardinals plan on bringing him back again soon enough!
