Diego Rubio scores in stoppage time to help Austin tie Real Salt Lake 1-1
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Diego Rubio scored in the 93rd minute to help Austin tie Real Salt Lake 1-1 on Wednesday night. Rubio headed in a cross by Žan Kolmanič for his first MLS goal since June 22, 2024. William Agada also scored on a header for RSL in the 67th for his second career MLS goal. Austin (5-6-5) was coming off a 1-all draw with Minnesota United last Saturday when Kolmanič netted his first career goal for the club. Salt Lake (4-9-3) is winless in six consecutive matches – last winning at San Diego on April 26. The start of the game was delayed 30 minutes due to lightning in the area. ___ AP soccer:

(AP Photo/Tyler Tate) SANDY, Utah (AP) — Brian White scored two goals — his second multi-goal game in his last three and third this season — and Pedro Vite scored from just outside the area in the 90th minute to help the Vancouver Whitecaps rally and beat Real Salt Lake 3-2 on Saturday night. Vancouver (10-1-4) is unbeaten in nine consecutive games dating to a 3-1 loss to Chicago on March 22. Advertisement Vite bent a shot inside the back post to give the Whitecaps their first lead. Zavier Gozo scored his first career goal in the first minute. The 18-year-old in his third MLS season ran onto a ball played ahead by Diego Luna and, from the left side of the area, slipped a shot between the legs of defender Tristan Blackmon and inside the near post. Luna made it 2-0 when he scored his fifth goal in the last six games in the 4th minute. Dominik Marczuk played a cross from the right side that was deflected by goalkeeper Yohei Takaoka, but Luna was there to put away the rebound with a one-touch finish to make it 2-0. Salt Lake scored two goals in the first five minutes of a match for the first time in club history and the is the first team in MLS to do so since the New York Red Bulls in 2018. Advertisement White put a away a header off a corner kick played in by Sebastian Berhalter in the 20th minute and converted from the penalty spot in the 25th to make it 2-2. Rafael Cabral finished with three saves, including a diving stop in the 64th minute to deny White a hat trick and keep the game tied at 2-2. Takaoka stopped four shots for Vancouver. Salt Lake (4-9-2) is winless in five consecutive games, beginning with a 2-1 loss to the Whitecaps on May 3. ___ AP soccer:

FRISCO, Texas (AP) — Diego Luna gave Real Salt Lake an early lead, Dallas' Anderson Julio tied it in the second half and the two teams played to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night. Luna won a battle for possession in front of the box, then blasted a shot that ricocheted off the left post for a 1-0 lead in the 24th minute. Julio tied it for Dallas in the 53rd minute, scoring with a left-footed shot from the center of the box. A few minutes later, William Agada of RLS was shown his second yellow card and subsequent red card but Dallas could not take advantage. RLS led 3-2 in shots on goal. Maarten Paes had two saves for Dallas and Rafael Cabral one for Real Salt Lake. FC Dallas (4-4-4) was coming off a 5-0 loss at San Diego. Real Salt Lake (4-7-1) had lost three of their last four and six of eight. RLS hosts Portland on Wednesday and Dallas hosts Houston on May 17. ___ AP soccer:
