A wave of change in leadership is hitting Rhode Island school districts

Here's how the leadership changes are playing out across the state. Enter Email Sign Up East Greenwich The search process for a new district leader Lincoln Superintendent Lawrence Filippelli is off to Woodstock Academy in Connecticut, but the school committee quickly named Kevin McNamara as his successor (beginning July 1). McNamara has been an assistant superintendent, and has worked in the district since 1999, Advertisement Tiverton Superintendent Peter Sanchioni is retiring at the end of the month, and three finalists for his post have been named – Johnston Longtime Superintendent Bernard DiLullo is retiring at the end of the school year, and the district is currently searching for a replacement. There's a lot of change in the district, including moving to a hybrid elected/appointed school committee.
