Paced by Bea Turrettini, Concord-Carlisle girls swim to third consecutive MIAA North Sectional crown

'We've got a really deep group this year. So many [personal records], a couple of school records, just above and beyond expectation,' said C-C coach Matt Goldberg. 'We have a large team, so it's really exciting when everybody is a contributor on the team. It's a lot of fun when in almost every heat of the day, we get to cheer for somebody.' 'When I came in my freshman year, no one expected anything from us, and now it's our third time doing this. It's exciting watching us grow.' There was a bit of revenge motivating C-C as well, as they contended with conference rivals. 'We knew going into this that Lincoln-Sudbury and Weston were going to be tough,' Goldberg added. 'We've had some ups and downs, lost our dual meet to Weston this year, but our girls swam and dove unbelievably today.' Elizabeth Reiling won the 100 butterfly for Concord-Carlisle. Matthew J. Though one trophy is clinched, Concord-Carlisle has their sights set higher: repeating as D1 state champions.
