'We've got a really deep group this year. So many [personal records], a couple of school records, just above and beyond expectation,' said C-C coach Matt Goldberg. 'We have a large team, so it's really exciting when everybody is a contributor on the team. It's a lot of fun when in almost every heat of the day, we get to cheer for somebody.' Enter Email Sign Up 'She's such a strong swimmer, has been since a freshman,' Goldberg said. 'She broke the school record in the 500 [freestyle] last year . . . I kind of thought she was going to break it again. Hopefully she'll do it next week.' 'Swimming's an individual sport, but for C-C, it's a team sport, which is really cool,' Turrettini said. 'When I came in my freshman year, no one expected anything from us, and now it's our third time doing this. It's exciting watching us grow.' There was a bit of revenge motivating C-C as well, as they contended with conference rivals. 'We knew going into this that Lincoln-Sudbury and Weston were going to be tough,' Goldberg added. 'We've had some ups and downs, lost our dual meet to Weston this year, but our girls swam and dove unbelievably today.' Elizabeth Reiling won the 100 butterfly for Concord-Carlisle. Matthew J. The Williams-bound O'Donnell scored 484.2 points in the 1-meter dive, and Reiling captured the 100 butterfly crown (58.29). Advertisement Joining Turrettini as a multi-winner was Lincoln-Sudbury's Joslin Halsey. The Bucknell-bound senior won both the 50 free (24.21) and 100 free (52.17) and swam the final leg (52.01) in the Warriors' 400 free relay victory (3:41.53). Though one trophy is clinched, Concord-Carlisle has their sights set higher: repeating as D1 state champions. 'As long as we view ourselves as one team, hopefully we'll do what we did last year,' said Turrettini.
