According to both companies, the strategic project will transition Zain Jordan's converged BSS to a cloud-native model. This move is expected to drive innovation, optimize costs, and accelerate the company's digital transformation journey. Ericsson, listed on NASDAQ as ERIC, revealed it will upgrade Zain Jordan's current implementation of Ericsson Charging to the latest software version. The update will include new features and capabilities, all hosted on the Ericsson Cloud Native Infrastructure Solution. This digital shift will support Zain Jordan's adoption of a catalog-based business model. It will also enhance the prepaid customer service experience through more personalized offerings. Additionally, the transformation is expected to improve: Time to market and service agility Operational flexibility and 5G monetization Wisam Abu Hashhash, Technology and Digital Innovation Director at Zain Jordan, said the investment reflects the company's commitment to delivering innovative services and an exceptional customer journey. He added that by digitalizing the prepaid customer service experience using Ericsson's monetization and core commerce portfolio, Zain Jordan is adopting a more agile and customer-centric approach. Kevin Murphy, Vice President and Head of Ericsson North Middle East and Africa, reported that this cloud-native transformation would enhance customer experiences, improve agility, and open up new opportunities in the digital economy. He noted that Zain Jordan's evolving service offerings will benefit from streamlined operations and improved connectivity. The partnership reinforces Jordan's national digital transformation goals and supports the country's growing role in the regional telecom sector.
