Bhopal's Aditi & Indore's Utkarsh shine at Pickleball as c'ship concludes in city
Bhopal: Aditi Matta of Bhopal excelled by winning two titles and finishing as runner-up in one category in the first state-level ranking Ace Cup Pickleball Championship, concluded at Ace Club in Salaiya, Bhopal.
Utkarsh Dubey from Indore dominated by claiming three titles.
The championship witnessed participation from over 100 players across MP
According to Organising Secretary Aditya Sur, the final matches were conducted at Ace Pickleball Academy at Rajiv Gandhi College, Salaiya. Aditi Matta partnered with Shubhi from Dhar to win the Women's Doubles Open, defeating Indore's Divya and Abhiruchi. She secured her second title in Mixed Doubles Open with Utkarsh Dubey, overcoming Vaibhav and Abhiruchi from Indore.
In women's singles, Aditi finished second to Shubhi Vyas from Dhar. Utkarsh Dubey secured his second title by defeating Bhopal's Bhavesh Gaur 15-8 in men's singles. Partnering with Anuj Upreti, Dubey won his third title in men's doubles open against Dhar's Jai and Parth.
Rizwan Khan from Indore won the beginners' men's singles against Anuj Upreti with a score of 15-8. Rizwan and Anuj claimed the beginners' combined doubles title against Meet and Ansh from Dhar.
In the 35 plus category, Bhopal's Vivek and Rohit emerged victorious against Karan and Jeetu. The 40 plus category saw Ashish Matta and Mukesh Soni from Bhopal defeating Prakash and Sarvesh. The closing ceremony was attended by MP Pickleball Association's Vice President and Bhopal District Pickleball's President Shailendra Bagre, Joint Secretary Ashish Matta, Vice President Mukesh Soni, Amardeep Singh, and numerous players.
