Falcons QB Kirk Cousins pokes fun at Travis Kelce's hairy back: ‘God bless Taylor Swift'

Atlanta Falcons player Kirk Cousins roasted Travis Kelce for having a very hairy back. The quarterback applauded Taylor Swift while poking fun at Kelce in an interview with E! News at the grand opening of Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Fla., Wednesday. 'God bless Taylor Swift for being good with that,' Cousins said, referring to new photos of Kelce shirtless. He added, 'That's awesome. Good for her.' Cousins, 36, suspected that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's wooly backside was 'just genetics.' 'Thankfully, I don't have to deal with that,' he joked. 'But I'm in a locker room a lot. That's just a part of life. It is what it is.' Cousins took shots at Kelce's abundant body hair after the 'New Heights' podcast co-host was spotted going shirtless while out in Miami Tuesday. Kelce had just finished a fitness session with friends when he ditched his sweaty tee. The NFL star, 35, has discussed his hairy situation in the past — with his brother Jason Kelce sharing earlier this year that he previously earned him the nickname 'Big Yeti.' 'When Trav was at Cincinnati, he would play basketball in the playground quite a bit,' the retired Philadelphia Eagles player said on their podcast in February 2024 of Travis' time at the University of Cincinnati. 'And anyone who has ever played pickup basketball, you know there's shirts and skins.' Travis explained that he had a 'big beard,' 'long hair' and 'the chest hair, back hair, arm hair, leg hair.' 'It's just a big ole Yeti out there, man,' Travis said. 'All the homies on the court were calling me 'Big Yeti.'' More recently, Travis called himself a 'furry son of the b—h' on Wednesday's episode of his and Jason's Wondery+ show while explaining why he was wearing two shirts at once. 'Me and heat just don't do well together, ' Travis quipped of his layered fashion choice.

Travis Kelce keeps shirt on post-workout after body hair goes viral

Travis Kelce covered up his burly bod just one day after his hairy back took the internet by storm. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was seen flaunting his muscular biceps in a Nike navy muscle tee after playing a game of padel in Florida last Tuesday. Kelce paired the dark tank with black athletic shorts that showed off his toned calves as he toted a black and white gym bag. The athlete, 35, accessorized with white slides and a silver chain around his neck. Kelce was spotted looking sweaty from his fitness session and had tousled hair as he made his way to his black SUV. The 'New Heights' co-host kept his body concealed from onlookers nearly 24 hours after photos of his hairy back went viral. Last Tuesday, Kelce was seen taking off his shirt after hitting the gym with some friends in Miami. Fans were quick to notice some very thick body hair on Kelce's back, shoulders and chest. Kelce's unshaven stature even prompted fellow NFL player Kirk Cousins to poke fun at him. 'God bless Taylor Swift for being good with that,' the Atlanta Falcons quarterback told E! News last week of Kelce's pop star girlfriend being OK with Kelce's body hair. The football player added, 'That's awesome. Good for her.' Kelce has made light of his hairy physique in the past — admitting that his hair earned him the nickname 'Big Yeti.' Chatting with his brother, Jason Kelce, on their podcast in February 2024, the retired Philadelphia Eagles player recalled Travis' days of playing basketball with friends when he was a student at the University of Cincinnati. 'When Trav was at Cincinnati, he would play basketball in the playground quite a bit,' the former athlete said. 'And anyone who has ever played pickup basketball, you know there's shirts and skins.' Travis explained that at the time he had a 'big beard,' 'long hair' and 'chest hair, back hair, arm hair, leg hair.' 'It's just a big ole Yeti out there, man,' Travis joked. 'All the homies on the court were calling me 'Big Yeti.'' Last week, Travis addressed the existence of his prominent back hair, admitting on his Wondery+ show that he is a 'furry son of the bitch.'

Netflix eyes video podcasts

Video has taken over the podcast industry and everyone is in. Why it matters: Audio dollars are growing but still tiny compared to video. The podcast video genre poses much bigger revenue opportunities. Digital audio, including podcasting, grew 8.5% year over year to $7.6 billion in revenue in 2024, whereas digital video grew 19.2% to $62.1 billion in revenue, according to a recent IAB/PwC Internet Advertising report. About three-fourths of U.S. podcast listeners categorized discussion-based videos on YouTube as podcasts, per Oxford Road and Edison Research's "What's A Podcast?" report. And 1 in 3 podcast consumers prefer podcasts with a video component, per Cumulus Media. Driving the news: Netflix is interested in adding video podcasts to its platform, co-CEO Ted Sarandos said during the company's latest earnings call in response to an analyst's question. "We want to work with kind of great creators across all kinds of media that consumers love and podcasts, to your point, have become a lot more video forward. ... As the popularity of video podcasts grow, I suspect you'll see some of them find their way to Netflix," Sarandos said. Yes, but: Netflix is late to the party. YouTube recently touted its growth in podcasting with more than 1 billion monthly active viewers of podcasts. It previously shared that viewers watched more than 400 million hours of podcasts monthly on living room devices. Spotify has invested more in helping podcasters create and monetize videos, including its new offer of uninterrupted video podcasts. More than 330,000 video podcasts are available on Spotify and more than 270 million users have watched a video podcast on the platform, according to the company. Amazon's Wondery has built out more video support by launching videos on its app for Wondery+ subscribers, creating free ad-supported streaming TV channels on Prime Video Live, distributing on YouTube, and introducing animated visuals to narrative podcasts, per Adweek. What to watch: Apple's podcast app supports video podcasts, but the service is not known for video viewing and simultaneously has lost listenership to competitors.

Keke Palmer Is Facing Criticism For Having Jonathan Majors On Her Podcast

Warning: Discussion of domestic violence. Keke Palmer is facing criticism for interviewing Jonathan Majors on her podcast Baby, This Is Keke Palmer. In 2023, Jonathan was found guilty of one count of assault and one count of harassment against his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. The ex-Marvel actor pled not guilty and subsequently said in an interview that he was responsible for "none of her injuries." He has been back in the public eye in recent weeks amid the release of his movie Magazine Dreams, even starring on the cover of the Hollywood Reporter. In the accompanying interview, he said of his time during and after the trial, "It's a heartbreak like I've never experienced and it just compounded and compounded." Matthew McConaughey, Michael B. Jordan, and Whoopi Goldberg all further voiced their support. Shortly after the cover dropped, audio leaked that allegedly revealed Jonathan admitting to strangling Grace. "I can't speak to it, but obviously, because you're talking about it, there are vibrations, reverberations, same as everything before," Jonathan said in response. "I'm living life. I'm surrounded by loved ones and family." And now, Jonathan will add Keke to his list of new interviewers. The episode, which is available now to Wondery+ users and will be released to the public on April 8, is titled, "No Easy Answers: Accountability and Moving Forward with Jonathan Majors." The episode description reads, "Accountability. It's a loaded word, right? We're living in a time where we want real accountability—especially for things men have gotten away with for far too long. At the same time, finding forgiveness feels harder than ever, and we're still figuring out what true accountability even looks like." "Today, we're sitting down with Jonathan Majors to talk about what life has looked like after being convicted of harassment and assault. This conversation isn't here to give you all the answers—it's complicated, it's messy—but hopefully, it brings us a little closer to understanding the complex emotional landscape of the time we're living through," it concludes. But some did suggest that Keke might use the opportunity to thoroughly question Jonathan: A clip further resurfaced of her talking about R Kelly in 2016, where she said, "Stop with the grooming. I don't know this side of Kells. The side of Kells I know is a musical genius." The singer has since been convicted of child sex crimes. Keke herself has said that she experienced domestic violence during her relationship with the father of her son, Darius Jackson (he has denied the allegations). She was previously granted a temporary restraining order against him. We'll keep you posted on whether Keke addresses the controversy. If you or someone you know is in immediate danger as a result of domestic violence, call 911. For anonymous, confidential help, you can call the 24/7 National Domestic Violence Hotline at 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE) or chat with an advocate via the website.
