Falcons QB Kirk Cousins pokes fun at Travis Kelce's hairy back: ‘God bless Taylor Swift'

Yahoo6 days ago

Atlanta Falcons player Kirk Cousins roasted Travis Kelce for having a very hairy back.
The quarterback applauded Taylor Swift while poking fun at Kelce in an interview with E! News at the grand opening of Universal Epic Universe in Orlando, Fla., Wednesday.
'God bless Taylor Swift for being good with that,' Cousins said, referring to new photos of Kelce shirtless.
He added, 'That's awesome. Good for her.'
Cousins, 36, suspected that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end's wooly backside was 'just genetics.'
'Thankfully, I don't have to deal with that,' he joked. 'But I'm in a locker room a lot. That's just a part of life. It is what it is.'
Cousins took shots at Kelce's abundant body hair after the 'New Heights' podcast co-host was spotted going shirtless while out in Miami Tuesday.
Kelce had just finished a fitness session with friends when he ditched his sweaty tee.
The NFL star, 35, has discussed his hairy situation in the past — with his brother Jason Kelce sharing earlier this year that he previously earned him the nickname 'Big Yeti.'
'When Trav was at Cincinnati, he would play basketball in the playground quite a bit,' the retired Philadelphia Eagles player said on their podcast in February 2024 of Travis' time at the University of Cincinnati.
'And anyone who has ever played pickup basketball, you know there's shirts and skins.'
Travis explained that he had a 'big beard,' 'long hair' and 'the chest hair, back hair, arm hair, leg hair.'
'It's just a big ole Yeti out there, man,' Travis said. 'All the homies on the court were calling me 'Big Yeti.''
More recently, Travis called himself a 'furry son of the b—h' on Wednesday's episode of his and Jason's Wondery+ show while explaining why he was wearing two shirts at once.
'Me and heat just don't do well together, ' Travis quipped of his layered fashion choice.

Tennessee Titans to have joint practices with the Atlanta Falcons ahead of preseason game

Tennessee Titans to have joint practices with the Atlanta Falcons ahead of preseason game When the NFL announced its 2025 schedule, the Tennessee Titans discussed the possibility of taking part in joint practices with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons in weeks one and two of the preseason. On Monday, Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris announced that the arrangements have been made and that they will hold joint practices with the Titans ahead of the Week 2 preseason game in Atlanta. This approach should help speed up the process of getting Cam Ward up to speed with live reps against another franchise. The two teams will hold joint sessions on August 12 and 13 prior to their August 15 battle. At this point, no specifics have been given on what will take place for the Titans on August 14, but with so many new faces it will likely be some type of walkthrough. During his first season as head coach, Brian Callahan held joint practices with the Seattle Seahawks prior to their Week 2 preseason battle, after which he eventually held out many veterans from the subsequent game. WIth so many new and young faces fighting it out for spots on the depth chart, it will be interesting to see what his philosophy is now in his second year. The Titans will be holding another open practice on Tuesday and Callahan will likely address the media, with Morris making the announcement during his press availability in Atlanta on Monday, Callahan could offer more insight during that press availability.

Travis Kelce Turns Heads With His Chiefs Decision on Monday

Travis Kelce Turns Heads With His Chiefs Decision on Monday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. Travis Kelce is back in Kansas City after reportedly spending a significant amount of his time in the offseason in Boca Raton. The All-Pro tight end reportedly hunkered down in Florida with his friends to get his body in shape for the upcoming season, which is now just a few months away. Advertisement Kelce was spotted entering the team's practice facility last week for the first session of the Chiefs' Organized Team Activities or OTAs. Over the weekend, he attended a charity event in KC for the benefit of Children's Mercy Hospital. Kelce took part in the annual "Big Slick Celebrity Weekend" along with teammate Patrick Mahomes, his brother Jason Kelce and a number of big-name Hollywood celebrities. For some reason, though, the 10-time Pro Bowler was nowhere to be found as the Chiefs kicked off the first day of their second OTA session on Monday. Fans could not help but notice Kelce's absence from the practice session as the team posted multiple photos from the facility. Advertisement View the original article to see embedded media. "Travis still not seen on any OTA's," a comment on Instagram read. "No Kelce?" asked a fan. "He went back to Florida," responded another. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Biggerstaff-Imagn Images "leave the elderly alone. He needs 14 business days to recover from last weeks OTAs," a reaction read. "Any chance kelce shows up?? Too busy golfing and living the good life was in kc Saturday but couldn't clock into otas lmaooo," accused a user. "why is everyone all up over Travis? He's a vet and these are optional practices. Are you guys new to football? Like I would be surprised if he did go. And I don't expect him to do media because of you people who obviously are just watching your first offseason," a supporter argued. Advertisement A few other fans pointed out that these OTAs are voluntary, which means that, technically speaking, Kelce is not compelled to attend them. Be that as it may, supporters also indicated that other members of the squad chose to go, including star quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs have two more days of OTAs on Tuesday and Wednesday, as well as another session from June 10 to 13. Whether or not Kelce will take part in any of those remains to be seen.
