Controlled burn in Beaver County deemed out of control, authorities say
A controlled burn in Beaver County was deemed out of control on Wednesday morning, authorities say. County dispatch told KDKA-TV that the burn was taking place at a scrap metal facility on Woodlawn Road in Center Township. Crews remain on scene and are working to regain control. Police believe the same group may be behind two separate tool thefts at Guelph store
Police are looking for tips after almost $6,000 in tools were stolen during two separate thefts in Guelph last week. Investigators said two men walked into a business on Woodlawn Road West around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. Police said the pair picked up $1,400 worth of power tools and walked out of the store. Both suspects are described as South Asian men in their 30s with dark hair. Police said they stood at an average height and had heavy and medium builds respectively. Witnesses told police they left in a black Ram pickup with chrome rims. The next day, another theft happened at the same store around 6:50 p.m. Four men entered the business and used box cutters to open a cage holding products and took approximately $4,500 in tools. Police said all four suspects were described as South Asian men in their 30s. They said they ranged from 5'9' to 6'0' with medium to heavy builds and black hair. Witnesses told police they left in a black Ford Bronco.
