Woodson Martin Succeeds Paul Rosado As CEO Of OutSystems
OutSystems has announced that it has achieved a significant milestone, surpassing €500 million in revenue. With more than 2,000 global customers and over 500 partners, this achievement underscores the company's continued momentum and position as a global pioneer in the AI-powered application development market. Along with this landmark, OutSystems today announced the appointment of Woodson Martin as its new Chief Executive Officer to scale the company's next era of innovation and expansion, effective immediately. Martin will succeed founder Paulo Rosado, who has led OutSystems for over two decades since its inception. To ensure a smooth transition, Rosado will remain closely involved with OutSystems as Chairman of the Board and strategic advisor. 'We started this company to enable organizations to support their unique processes and innovations with custom digital solutions that they could build and evolve fast and reliably. The journey from a scrappy startup in a garage in Portugal to crossing €500m in revenue has been full of magic,' said Paulo Rosado, Founder of OutSystems. 'I am immensely proud of the team, partners and the amazing customers that have trusted us to run their business critical systems on the OutSystems platform. Our disruptive vision has become widespread and now is the time to transition the helm of the company to Woodson. His deep experience in scaling global enterprise software companies, customer-centric vision, and commitment to building best-in-class teams and culture make him the ideal leader to take OutSystems to even greater heights. I look forward to supporting him and the company in this exciting next chapter.' Woodson Martin brings a proven track record of scaling global growth, fostering innovation, and building strong customer relationships in executive roles at leading companies including Salesforce and Business Objects (acquired by SAP). During his 18-year tenure at Salesforce, Woodson held key global leadership roles across the business. Most recently, he served as EVP and General Manager of the Salesforce AppExchange where he built and scaled the technology ecosystem to more than 10 million installs and 7,500 applications serving more than 150,000 global customers. 'Now is the moment to build on OutSystems market strength as an application development platform, to extend our leadership in enterprise adoption of agentic systems,' said Martin, CEO of OutSystems. 'We will power the next generation of apps and agents built and managed through AI, delivered on a proven platform that thousands of customers trust. I am honored to be joining the company at such a pivotal time and passionate about the opportunity in front of us. Paulo and team have built a strong foundation and I can't wait to get to work with our customers and partners to deliver unparalleled business value through apps, agents and automation.' The company recently announced the general availability (GA) of Mentor, a first-of-its-kind digital worker for AI application generation and full software development lifecycle (SDLC) automation. Within the first quarter of GA, OutSystems Developer Cloud customers (ODC) used Mentor to build more than 2,500 applications, generated in an average of three minutes. In addition to generating applications, OutSystems AI Agent Builder embeds AI agents into applications, supporting the entire software development lifecycle. 'The future of enterprise software is anchored in agentic AI – a future where custom applications and agents are delivered and managed on an AI-powered software development life cycle platform,' continued Martin. 'Today's digital transformation is markedly different from how it looked even last year. Companies continue to use SaaS applications, but now extend, connect, and orchestrate their apps with custom AI agents that can solve unique business needs and adapt rapidly as those needs change. The digital systems of tomorrow are very similar to what customers are building on OutSystems today.' 0 0
