The must-have $40 winter item from Target shoppers can't get enough of: 'I live in these'
Cosy clogs from Target have sent social media into a frenzy, after young Aussie mum Chloe Jackson, shared a now-viral video declaring them the 'perfect winter shoe'.
The women's Genuine Suede Leather Wool Lined Moulded Cork Clogs are proving that great quality footwear doesn't have to cost the earth, coming in at a humble $40.
Her video on the 'Naylah' brown pair has already racked up over 122,000 views on social media, with shoppers racing to stores nationwide to get their hands on a pair.
'They're so warm and comfortable,' Chloe told her followers. 'Take this as your sign to run, not walk to go and get them.'
Crafted from genuine suede leather, the clogs feature a rich chocolate brown upper (as well as a tan colour option), plush wool lining for extra warmth, and a moulded cork sole designed to hug the foot for maximum comfort.
The budget slides have been praised for their luxe look, high-end feel, and practicality, offering an on-trend alternative to far pricier brands on the market.
Available in women's sizes six to 11, the versatile clogs are ideal for both lounging at home and braving chilly school runs, and also come in a timeless style that pairs effortlessly with jeans, tracksuits, or winter loungewear.
In her now-trending video, Chloe admits she stumbled across the shoes by accident, spotting a full rack in-store and instantly recognising their potential.
'I don't know if I'm incredibly early or a little bit late to the trend,' she joked, 'but you need these shoes this winter.'
Fans were quick to agree and took no time to add their glowing reviews too.
'Can confirm these are great fur lined clogs. I wear mine around the house,' one wrote.
'These are the best. My current go-to!' another added.
'I have the Kmart version. But these ones look like an upgrade,' one noted.
With winter well and truly here, it's no surprise the clogs have become one of the season's most hyped-up buys.
Target shoppers are also racing into stores to get their hands on their real leather suede handbags too.
The budget retailer has dropped an $80 Premium Suede Leather Slouch Shoulder Bag that looks and feels a lot more expensive than it is.
'It's got the lining on the bottom. It's a beautiful chocolate colour. It's got the stitching detail. Are you kidding me Target?' she said, showing off the tag inside marked genuine suede leather', said TikToker Emma Vosti I her own video.
Even Aussie influencer Steph Claire Smith gave her tick of approval, commenting: 'That's a win.'
Suede is having a major moment this winter with loafers, jackets and bags all getting the retro, tactile treatment. But genuine suede usually comes at a hefty price.
'At Target, we're all about helping our customers feel confident – and that starts with pieces that feel just as good as they look,' Carrie Kirkman told FEMAIL, who holds the position of General Manager Merchandise & Marketing at Target Australia.
'Our new range of suede bags is a perfect example: they're on-trend, elevated, and effortlessly easy to style. All are at an accessible price point and made to last.'
Carrie even confirmed that this is just the first drop of leather stock to land in store and online, with more to come very soon.
Comparable pieces like Vestirsi's Sienna Suede Bag ($349) and Tony Bianco's Mily Suede Tote ($249) are at least triple the cost, we can see why Target's version is so popular.
