Man, 78, kills son for not taking care of him
Trichy: On World Father's Day on Sunday, a 78-year-old man was arrested on charges of murdering his 55-year-old son at their house near Manapparai in Trichy district. Police said K Kandasamy, a farmer from A Kalingapatti near Manapparai, killed his son K Annadurai as he was not taking proper care of him. Recently, Kandasamy passed on his properties to his children, and he and his wife Ponnammal were under the support of their elder son Annadurai. Police said Kandasamy was allegedly not given food properly. Meanwhile on Saturday night, Kandasamy hacked Annadurai with a machete while he was sleeping on a wooden cot at their house. The next morning, Ponnammal found her son in a pool of blood and raised the alarm. The Manapparai police arrived at the spot and shifted the body to the GH in the town for an autopsy.
