Is Abi Marquez, a.k.a. Lumpia Queen, planning to open a restaurant? On Tuesday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the social media star revealed her aspiration to open a restaurant in the future. 'Someday. But I will take my time figuring out my taste, my cuisine,' Abi said. Abi grew to online popularity for her cooking videos, and behind her successful online presence, she acknowledged the crucial role of her team. 'To make videos as seamless as that, they really have to take a good talented team behind it to make it kaya, ayan, we appreciate you, my team,' she said. When asked how she handles harsh criticisms, Abi said, 'Ako po, nag-start ako with understanding na food, really, is something personal to us all.' She acknowledged that everyone grew up with their own familiar versions of recipes, citing adobo as an example. 'So I've accepted that and really willing to listen to that, but for me, Tito, I understand na we have our traditional and authentic version of our recipes, but in order to keep our cuisine alive, we have to keep it refreshing, you have to make it more accessible to the modern cook or modern consumers,' she said. In May, Abi won the Best Food Blogger award at the World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA) 2025 in Cannes, France. Abi Marquez gets to try Dubai chocolate straight from the creator
Abi Marquez was in for a delicious birthday treat! The content creator was given a birthday cake from the creator of the viral Dubai chocolate himself, Chef Nouel Catis. The viral treat is made from chocolate, pistachios, and pastries like kanafeh or kadayif. Abi shared photos of a cake slice and a whole cake with 'Happy Birthday Abi' written in chocolate piping. 'DUBAI CHOCOLATE Cake from the creator himself of the viral chocolate bar Chef Nouel Catis,' Abi said on Facebook. 'Ramdam mo yung quality ng ingredients,' she added. The best part? The cake is available at Khaiba at The Balmori Suites in Rockwell until July 13. Chef Nouel is the Dubai-based Filipino chef who is behind the viral chocolate. Abi, also known as the Lumpia Queen, won the Best Food Blogger award at the World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA) 2025 in Cannes, France in May. Filipino content creator Abi Marquez was named Food Blogger of the Year at the prestigious World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA) held on May 23 in Cannes, France. Abi celebrated her win by posting a selfie with her trophy on Facebook, writing, 'OMG GUYS NANALO AKO!' Before the event, she shared her excitement online, saying she was proud to represent the Philippines once more on the international stage. 'I'm officially NOMINATED at the @wibaawards, happening tonight during the Cannes Film Festival 2025 🎥🏆. Bringing the heart of Filipino creativity and food to a global stage,' she wrote. According to its official website, WIBA 2025 marks the seventh edition of the global awards program that honors influential voices and top personalities in social media. Abi's fans flooded her page with congratulatory messages, calling her 'Lumpia Queen' and praising her for making Filipinos proud. On the same day, Abi also announced she won three honors at the 46th Annual Telly Awards: Best Online Series for her TikTok content, the Food & Beverage category for her Mabuhay World Campaign, and a Social Video award for her viral vlog 'Gordon Ramsay Doesn't Like My Beef Wellington.' The Telly Awards, established in 1979, recognizes outstanding video and television work across all platforms, receiving over 13,000 entries from across the globe each year.

Abi Marquez bags Best Food Blogger award at World Influencers and Bloggers Awards at Cannes
The Philippines' very own Lumpia Queen is adding another international recognition to her name! On Facebook, Abi Marquez proudly shared that she won the Best Food Blogger award at the World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA) 2025 in Cannes, France. "OMG guys nanalo ako," the food content creator wrote as a caption of her selfie holding her WIBA trophy. Earlier, Abi shared her outfit for the awards night: a custom red Filipiniana by Jo Rubio inspired by Pinoy spaghetti. Her fully realized look features details true to the inspiration, including spaghetti-inspired nail art, a pasta box as a bag, and a "Kain Tayo" embossed in the gown train. "Bringing the heart of Filipino creativity and food to a global stage!" she said. The WIBA ceremony is held annually during the Cannes Film Festival and recognizes top influencers and bloggers from around the globe across multiple industries, including fashion, travel, lifestyle, and food. Earlier in May, Abi was nominated for the first time at the 17th Shorty Awards in the TikTok Presence category. Abi's Shorty Awards nomination followed the two nods she received from the 2025 Webby Awards last April, where she was up for two honors: The Webby Award, selected by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), and the Webby People's Voice Award, won by public voting. In 2024, Abi was nominated for the prestigious James Beard 2024 Media Awards' social media account category and was among the seven Filipinos in the Forbes 30 under 30 Class of 2024.
