4 WWE Undertaker dream matches for the modern-era wrestlers

Image via WWE A match with The Undertaker for the modern era wrestlers would have been a dream showdown. The Undertaker will go down in the WWE history books as one of the greatest superstars of all time. His three decades of destruction, captivating character and impressive in-ring style has made him one of the most respected and renowned figures in professional. After thirty years of competing as an in-ring performers, The Phenom retired after his last match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. However, had he still been an active competitor, here are the top four superstars who would have proven to be a formidable challenge for The Undertaker. 4. Damian Priest Damian Priest has been very much open about the influence of The Undertaker on his wrestling career. Priest has been called as the modern day Taker and even 'bisexual Undertaker' by others on social media. Moreover, Priest uses Taker's Old School and Chokeslam moves in his own way in the ring. Had The Undertaker still been wrestling, a match against Priest would have been a dream come true for the young and rising star. 3. Drew McIntyre Drew McIntyre has shared the ring with The Undertaker a few times in his WWE career. However, he did it long before he became a too attraction for the Stamford-based promotion. Amidst his rise, he did battle The Undertaker in a tag team match at the 2019 WWE Extreme Rules event, but never a singles bout. So, he would have proven to be a challenge for The Undertaker in the modern era. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch Bitcoin và Ethereum - Không cần ví! Moreover, Rollins was at the peak of his career when Taker was active on the roster, but never got to share the ring with The Demon from Death Valley. A match between Seth Rollins and The Undertaker would have been an exciting affair in the modern era as Taker had always put up stellar showdowns against more opponents more agile and smaller than his him. 1. Cody Rhodes Much like Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes has shared the ring with The Undertaker in the past. However, as the flagship WWE star and at the top of his game, fans never witnessed that spectacular showdown between Rhodes and Taker. With both superstars in their prime and as active performers, Rhodes and Taker would have produced one of the greatest in-ring matches of all time. WWE releases Braun Strowman in latest round of cuts: 3 reasons why ‘The Monster of Monsters' was an asset for the company

Braun Strowman, one of the popular names in the world of professional wrestling, was released from the WWE a few hours ago much to the shock of his ardent fans. This brought his second stint with the promotion, which started in 2022, to an end. He had previously worked with the company from 2015 to 2021. 'The Monster of Monsters' earned the love and respect of the WWE Universe with his strong in-ring and willingness to put over other wrestlers. Here is a look at why he will be missed. Braun Strowman made a menacing heel Strowman made his WWE debut nearly a decade ago as 'The Black Sheep' of the Wyatt Family and soon emerged as a monster heel. He initially squashed local talent in short matches and proved his mettle as a monster heel. His imposing physique and intense body language made these beatdowns look believable, which is the hallmark of good pro-wrestling. He in particular shared good chemistry with James Ellsworth during this time. Strowman could hang with the big guys Strowman accomplished what few have when he feuded with Roman Reigns during 2017 and scored a win over him. The big guy also put on brutal matches with the likes of Big Show and Brock Lesnar, proving that he could hang with A-list stars. Interestingly, he was cheered during his rivalry with the then 'Big Dog' despite being the villain. Strowman also added another feather to his cap when he beat the legendary Goldberg at WrestleMania 36 in 2020. He replaced Reigns in the match after due to medical reasons. He gave back to the company Braun Strowman was a true company guy who played an instrumental role in helping a couple of fast-rising superstars find a foothold in the industry. The 'Last Monster Standing' match with Bronson Reed is a shining example of his commitment to fostering young talent. Strowman sold his offence with conviction, making him look like a legitimate threat. Strowman also did the same for Jacob Fatu. This feud established 'The Samoan Werewolf' as a freak of nature and eventually paved the way for him to beat LA Knight for the US title at WrestleMania 41. Interestingly, apart from Braun Strowman the likes of Dakota Kai and Eddy Thorpe too were released as part of these cuts. For all the latest coverage on WWE, track updates here

Roman Reigns issues chilling message ahead of Raw: ‘Don't trust anyone'

Hours before he appears on Raw, Roman Reigns has a chilling message for fans, family, enemies, and the company for which he works. On Monday afternoon, Reigns posted a two-minute video across social media—X, TikTok, and Instagram. The Tribal Chief was calm yet seething, reflective as he was bitter. Based on his tone, Reigns appears ready to fight the world this Saturday at WrestleMania, with or without his confidant, Paul Heyman. 'It's funny how much a year can change. This time last year I was untouchable. I should've tightened my grip around this company's neck. 'It was 'The Wiseman' that taught me diplomacy. (In a mocking tone) 'You gotta think politically.' 'I tried to help everyone. Most of them don't understand what a helping hand really looks like, what that really feels like. 'What do I get for it? Netflix. TKO. Mainstream. Billion-dollar deals. And somehow, I'm out on my ass. 'I lift everybody up, and somehow, no one's got enough respect to just be true to their Tribal Chief. 'My father didn't agree with me; used to say, 'Son, why do you care if they respect you? Why do you care if they acknowledge your talent and your contribution?' 'Lessons learned. We don't lose. We learn. Don't trust anyone.' Advertisement After taking a sabbatical following last year's WrestleMania, Roman Reigns returned in the summer of 2024, more popular than ever before. But as he heads into the biggest show of the year, where he will headline WrestleMania for an unprecedented tenth time, things are different. While Reigns simmers with resentment, the spotlight seems to be elsewhere. All eyes are on Cody Rhodes and his match against John Cena, whose time has been up for some time, by Rhodes' estimation. Considering the story told ahead of his triple-threat match with Seth Rollins and CM Punk, stars who are still in their prime and competing at a high level, Reigns should be the last thing audiences see as WrestleMania goes off the air on Sunday. Perhaps that's what Reigns is alluding to when he speaks to the lack of recognition by Netflix, WWE, and its parent company, TKO. All of these deals, while not brokered by Reigns, came about during his historic 1,316-day run as the Undisputed Champion and uncontested face of pro wrestling. Advertisement As he references those who don't recognize what a helping hand looks like, that seems like a direct shot at Paul Heyman and CM Punk. For years, Heyman credited Reigns with pulling him from 'The Ocean of Obscurity.' After Heyman's client, Brock Lesnar, lost the WWE Title at WrestleMania 36, Heyman was seemingly finished as a manager, advocate, and advisor. It wasn't until Reigns reached out to Heyman in the summer of 2020 that Heyman gained a new lease on life. As Reigns' 'Wiseman,' Heyman became a WWE Hall of Famer, a celebrated performer, and in the eyes of many, surpassed the legendary Bobby Heenan as the greatest manager of all time. Despite Reigns' influential assistance, Heyman is walking down the aisle with CM Punk at WrestleMania as Punk headlines the show for the first time in his career. Rather than blow him off, Heyman rebuffed his Tribal Chief. As for Punk, he wouldn't be fulfilling his lifelong dream of headlining WrestleMania if it weren't for Reigns' blessing. And how does Punk repay him? By disrespecting what once seemed like an unbreakable bond between Reigns and Heyman. Advertisement Now, it seems like Reigns realizes what 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin spent years preaching beyond Austin 3:16: 'Don't trust anyone.' It'll be interesting to see what that means for tonight as Reigns makes one last stop on Raw on the Road to WrestleMania. Is Reigns truly going solo this weekend? If so, what does that mean for Heyman, Punk, and Rollins, the first man to betray Reigns in WWE? One thing is certain: tonight, fans will not see Roman Reigns, the diplomat or the leader. Instead, they should expect to see the storm he's been warning us about. More from
