Carlito Confirms Shocking WWE Departure
In shocking news, Carlito confirmed his WWE departure. Carlito's announcement comes on the same day it was revealed that fellow WWE star R-Truth will also be departing the company once his contract expires. A report from PWInsider mentioned that Carlito's WWE contract will not be renewed when it ends. Similar to R-Truth's situation, he is expected to leave WWE once his current deal runs out. While the release is legitimate, he jokingly wrote that he's being asked to pay back the money he 'stole.' 'My contract is up in 2 weeks. It will not be renewed. On top of that, WWE is demanding I pay back the $ they paid me for apparently 'stealing money' from the company.' 'I've had my lawyers look into it and after reviewing my footage on Netflix for the past months they suggested I pay them back the money. All jokes aside, gracias WWE & especially the WWE universe. Although the company released him in 2010, he came back for the 2021 Royal Rumble. In 2023, he made another return at Backlash in Puerto Rico during the Damian Priest vs. Bad Bunny match.
