Tony Khan Gives Update On Bryan Danielson's AEW Status
Tony Khan recently opened up about the status of Bryan Danielson and his future with All Elite Wrestling. During a recent appearance on the Way of the Blade podcast (via Wrestling News), Khan was asked about Danielson's status. He said that he still keeps in contact with the legendary wrestler, who may or may not be retired. Khan said that he hopes he will be able to come back, but will always work with him regardless. Advertisement 'I still work with Bryan Danielson,' said Khan. 'He's still a big part of my office. He's not on the show, and he's been injured and maybe retired for good, but he's never said he's done for good, and I hope that there's some possibility he will be able to return to wrestling from the injuries and the way he left, but he's still a part of AEW, so I'm still very fortunate to work with Bryan. What did Tony Khan say about Bryan Danielson? 'I talk to Bryan almost every day. He's got a great mind for wrestling, and he's somebody that I'm really pleased and blessed came into AEW and got involved with us. He's a great person in and out of the ring, and he's a great leader in AEW.' Danielson's future in the ring has been unclear, given his issues with his neck. Speaking with Denise Salcedo for Instinct Culture earlier this year, he was asked to comment on his neck. Advertisement 'My neck is not great,' he said. 'It's causing me to not sleep good and some of these other things. But at the end of the day, I'm happy. At first, it was a little bit tough. It's like, for parents out there, it's like the first three weeks that you have a child and you're not sleeping at all, but then you get used to not sleeping very well [laughs]. So I've just become used to the not sleeping. Yeah, I'm happy. I've just had an incredible time just being with my family and being with my kids.' Danielson was also asked to comment on whether he would wrestle again, and said it was 50/50 at the time. 'If I had to guess right now, I would say it's 50/50 if I'll ever…and I'm okay with that,' Bryan Danielson said. 'I loved the time I got to spend doing this, but I also love what I'm doing now.' Eric Bischoff Explains Why He's Done Working In Professional Wrestling
Eric Bischoff says he's officially done working with professional wrestling, and also answered whether or not he'd ever join Vince McMahon in a new wrestling venture. During the latest episode of the 83 Weeks podcast (via Wrestling News), Bischoff answered questions from fans, and said that as far as he's concerned, he's done all he could in wrestling, and is officially done with working in the industry. 'I realize now that there is nothing I could do in professional wrestling that's ever going to bring me fulfillment,' said Bischoff. 'It's just not because I've done it, and I'm proud of what I've done. Unless I can do something that could make me feel as excited as I felt back then about professional wrestling, I can't do it. I just don't have that desire to focus on that business any longer for Vince or anybody else.' Although reports of McMahon's rumored new wrestling company point to nothing really happening, Bischoff noted that even if he were to take a job like that, it would be 'for the wrong reasons.' 'If I took a job like that, I would be taking it for the wrong reasons and would probably end up having the same results that I did in 2019,' Bischoff said. 'I'm just not that interested to commit that much to that industry. As much as I respect it and am grateful for it, that period of my life is in the rear view mirror and I enjoy every time I look in the rear view mirror and see it.'
