2026 Honda X-ADV unveiled in the global markets: Check what's new
The Honda X-ADV has been updated for 2026 in the international markets. The maxi-scooter was recently launched in India and carries a lot of inspiration from adventure motorcycles. The 2026 X-ADV will be offered with a bold new colour option called Mat Pearl Glare White special edition, which comes with a set of blue and red graphics. This new shade will be made available alongside existing colour options, including Graphite Black, Mat Deep Mud Gray, and Pearl Gray White. While the updates to the 2026 X-ADV are purely cosmetic in nature, Honda has upgraded the 6-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) for smoother starts and improved control at crawl speeds. The clutch has additionally been adjusted for improved feel and responsiveness. The Honda X-ADV is a crossover between an adventure motorcycle and a scooter, featuring a rugged, purpose-built aesthetic. Made to tackle a variety of terrain conditions, the scooter comes equipped with a broad range of features including knuckleguards, a five-position adjustable windscreen, and spoke wheels wrapped in dual-Sport tyres. Honda X-ADV: Engine and hardware The X-ADV is powered by a 745 cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that gets mated to a 6-speed DCT The X-ADV is powered by a 745 cc twin-cylinder engine that is liquid-cooled and is paired with a 6-speed DCT, similar to that of the Africa Twin. With this, the scooter makes a peak power output of 54 bhp at 6,250 rpm and 68 Nm of max torque at 4,750 rpm. Built around a tubular steel frame, the X-ADV is equipped with 41 mm upside-down (USD) front forks and a monoshock unit at the rear with adjustable spring preload for enhanced riding comfort and adaptability. The X-ADV rides on 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wire-spoke wheels wrapped in tubeless tyres, which make it well-suited for both tarmac and off-road trail riding. Braking duties are taken care of by twin 296 mm discs at the front and a 240 mm disc at the rear, supported by dual-channel ABS. The scooter comes with Honda Selectable Torque Control as well as a ride-by-wire throttle that enables four riding modes which adjust power delivery, engine braking, and traction control – Standard, Sport, Rain, and Gravel. There is also a User mode that can be configured by the rider. In India, the X-ADV is priced at ₹11.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Honda has rolled out the updated version of its adventure-style scooter, the X-ADV, for international markets in 2026. While there are no major mechanical changes, the highlight is a new white paint option with bold blue and red graphics. This joins the current range of white, grey, and black shades. What Has Changed? As per Bikewale, while the core mechanics remain untouched, Honda has fine-tuned the six-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) system. The clutch has been adjusted for smoother starts from a stop and better control at low speeds. The engine is the same powerful 745cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin that produces 57.8bhp at 6,750rpm and 69Nm at 4,750rpm. Furthermore, the vehicle offers four distinct riding modes – Standard, Rain, Sport, and Gravel. It also gets a 5-inch TFT display that offers Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. How Is It Built? Built for adventure, the scooter has a strong tubular steel frame. It uses a 41mm USD front fork and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. It rolls on 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wire-spoke tubeless wheels, offering both durability and comfort. Braking is handled by twin discs at the front and a single disc at the rear. Is It Coming to India? In India, the Honda X-ADV is available at Rs. 11.90 lakh (ex-showroom). Honda Two-Wheelers Records 5.5 Percent YoY Decline In May'25
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India announced its sales figures for May 2025. The company's total sales for May'25 stood at 4,65,115 units. This includes domestic sales of 4,17,256 units and 47,859 units of exports. The brand's FY26 (April'25 - May '25) total sales stand at 9,45,979 units. This includes domestic sales of 8,40,155 units and 1,05,824 units of exports. The data interprets that Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has suffered a 7.40 percent decline in domestic sales in May'25. However, the export witnesses a 14.34 percent increase. If we take into account the MoM sales, HMSI witnesses a 1.34 percent decline in the domestic sales compared to April 2025. Honda sold 4,22,931 units, which now stand at 4,17,256 units. Also, there is a 17.43 percent decline in exports, as it exported a total of 57,965 units in April 2025, while the export figures for May 2025 stand at 47,859 units. Moreover, HMSI announced the expansion of its production capacity by adding a new production line at its Vithalapur plant in India. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) reported total sales of 4,65,115 units for May 2025, including 4,17,256 units sold in the domestic market and 47,859 units exported. Key achievements In May, HMSI expanded its premium BigWing motorcycle portfolio with the launch of several new models, including the Rebel 500, X-ADV, CB750 Hornet, CB1000 Hornet SP, and a 50th Anniversary edition of the Gold Wing Tour. The E-Clutch variants of CB650R and CBR650R also became available in the Indian market. On the manufacturing front, Honda marked a global milestone by producing its 500 millionth motorcycle. The company also announced an increase in production capacity with the addition of a new line at its Vithalapur plant in Gujarat. In road safety initiatives , HMSI conducted awareness campaigns in 13 cities across India and partnered with Hyderabad Traffic Police to host a summer camp focused on road safety education.
