The 79p Home Bargains item that makes a car smell like luxury scent worth over £100
Make your car smell like a luxury designer scent without the price-tag. Looking to get your car smelling like luxury for less? Then Home Bargains has an item worth purchasing - and it costs less than £1. The budget chain is known for offering a selection of perfume 'dupes', with its Designer Fragrances range taking on the likes of Thierry Mugler, Dior and Lancôme, all without the luxury price-tag. Available in an assortment of body mists, sprays and perfumes for as little as under £2 each, they have become a massive hit among beauty buffs who often take to TikTok to share their purchases. Now they are officially available to buy as a car air freshener, allowing drivers to fill their car with three luxury inspired scents for less - Xalien, Tu Es Belle and Savor. Costing just 79p each, these fresheners are said to last up to 28 days, providing a long-lasting scent that can be used to fill any space, not just vehicles, such as rooms in the home and office spaces. For those who are unaware of Home Bargains' fragrances, Savore is a "warm, oriental, zesty" scent that has earned a fanbase for being a 'dupe' of the beloved Dior Sauvage EDT that retails anywhere between £75 to over £100, depending on the bottle size. There's also the highly popular Xalien. Described as "feminine and floral", this particular Designer Fragrances scent from the retailer has become known for offering a scent very similar to Thierry Mugler's iconic Alien, worth anywhere between £69 and £127. The third and final scent in the new air freshener collection is Tu Es Belle, described as "delicate and demure", which is said to be almost identical to Lancôme's La Vie Est Belle that can also be priced anywhere between £69 and £127. Home Bargains recently sent its loyal fanbase wild for the new car fragrances in an Instagram post that was captioned: "Now your car can smell like your favourite Designer Fragrances, in store now!" Multiple followers were quick to voice their enthusiasm, as one responded: "I absolutely love these." Another fan added: "These smell divine." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Someone who couldn't wait to find them wrote: "I need these in my life." While bargain hunters were certainly keen to get their hands on the new air freshener range, there were a few on Facebook that were left disappointed at their longevity, as one wrote: "Nice smell BUT ONLY FOR 3 DAYS!!" It's not just luxury perfumes that the retailer has been known to offer a 'dupe' for, as it has also branched out into a selection of cosmetics, haircare and skincare that are said to mimic high end brands for less. Just recently, we reported on the budget retailer's latest OVAU haircare line that were being compared to the celebrity-backed brand OUAI on TikTok. The line boasts a shampoo, conditioner and a hair mask all priced at £1.49, while the major brand would set shoppers back £28 each. Home Bargains shoppers can check their local store for the new Designer Fragrances car air fresheners that cost 79p.

I made my car 'smell like Dior' by spending 79p at Home Bargains
The budget-friendly option did not disappoint - and they've made my car smell like a luxury fragrance As soon as you crack open the packet, the fragrance hits you. I'm so pleased that people think my car smells like luxury when all I did was spend less than a pound in Home Bargains. I've covered a lot about the discounts and deals you can find in Home Bargains as a shopping writer. But some finds still manage to surprise me as I comb the aisles - and I never expected to find something interesting in the motoring section. If you're like me, you've probably had one of those basic air fresheners shaped like trees in your car at some point. They smell OK for a while but soon fade into the background. I was in need of a refresh as my last tree smelled like it was on its last legs. I was in Home Bargains anyway and thought they might have something cheap, interesting - or both. What I bought wasn't something I expected to find, but I'm hoping they never discontinue it, reports the Liverpool Echo. The Designer Fragrances Savore line is often compared to the pricer Dior Sauvage. Both have similar fresh and citrusy notes, but one is far cheaper. I'm a fan of the scent anyway - having already stocked up on the at-home air fresheners and body sprays that are sold in Home Bargains. So, now that there's a way to get my car smelling the same as my house, I was all in. The brand recently came out with a line of hanging air fresheners at Home Bargains that come in four varieties - Savore, One Billion, Xalien and Tu Es Belle. People have compared these budget products to the likes of Dior as well as Paco Rabanne's 1 Million, Alien by Mugler and Lancome's La Vie Est Belle. I also got the One Billion freshener for my brother as it's one of his favourites. He said it smelled just like the air freshener cans he uses at home. The string is just the right length to position the air freshener optimally without obstructing your driving. It could also be hung around the house if you wanted to quickly freshen up a specific room without resorting to an air freshener can. I'm now eager to offer people lifts, as I've already had passengers assume I've spritzed some £100 aftershave to mask any unpleasant car odours. But the secret behind my car's luxurious aroma isn't hidden. Shoppers can find these air fresheners at Home Bargains. Each variant costs a mere 79p, so it's wise to stock up on your favourites - I know I will be!
