Wednesday star Percy Hynes White has very ordinary new job after sex assault allegations got him cancelled

Axed Wednesday star Percy Hynes White has a very normal new job almost two years after he was dropped from the hit show amid sexual assault allegations. Hynes White, who played Xavier Thorpe in the Netflix show's first season, was written out after he was accused of purposefully getting women drunk at a Toronto party he hosted so he could have sex with them. Hynes White adamantly denied all the allegations, branding them a 'campaign of misinformation.' As season two gets underway without him, the actor, 23, was seen working the door at a Santa Monica bar this week. A smiling Hynes White checked IDs, manned the velvet rope and greeted guests on the night. Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Hynes White for comment and has yet to hear back. Hynes White had been a rising star – with notable appearances in The Twilight Zone and The Gifted – before the allegations emerged in a now-deleted Tweet posted by an anonymous social media user on January 18 2023. The poster claimed she had been sexually assaulted by the actor at a party he was hosting and accused him of throwing the bash with the intention of getting women drunk enough to get them to have sex with him. 'Percy is wonderful young man, that's the truth,' an insider told Daily Mail at the time. 'He never took part in any of the false claims again him, which were on Twitter and never followed up or substantiated. 'Percy is respectful, gracious, talented actor, a true professional. He's unfailingly polite to all, including the crew and his fans, most of whom are loyal to him as it should be. 'For Netflix to drop him from the show is a disgrace. It was just false rumors. It's just not right.' In June 2023 he issued a statement regarding the since-deleted anonymous social media posts from that past January. In his impassioned post, he wrote: 'Earlier this year, somebody I've never met started a campaign of misinformation about me online. Because of this, my family has been doxxed, and my friends have received death threats. Underage photos of me were used, and examples of me acting in character were presented as hateful.' The actor took to his Instagram Story last year to repost a cast photo and wrote a caption about how he would be tuning in to the upcoming season He then went on about how one of his friends was 'falsely portrayed as a victim' and condemned the 'baseless, harmful claims.' In September 2023 Daily Mail exclusively revealed he had been axed from the show. Even though he would not be returning to Wednesday, he does have other projects in the pipeline, including teen horror film Whistle. Ortega — who is starring in the upcoming, highly anticipated Beetlejuice sequel — will be returning as Wednesday Addams. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez and Luyanda Unati Lewis Nyawo will be upped to series regulars for the upcoming season. Zeta-Jones plays Wednesday's mother Morticia while Guzmán plays father Gomez and Ordonez plays little brother Pugsley. Emma Myers, Joy Sunday, Hunter Doohan, Victor Dorobantu, Moosa Mostafa, and Georgie Farmer will also be returning. Fred Armisen and Jamie McShane will be making appearances in guest roles. Other new series regulars will include Billie Piper (Scoop), Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill), Owen Painter (The Handmaid's Tale) and Noah Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime). , and Thandiwe Newton was recently cast for a guest star role. Naomi J. Ogawa is exiting the series, according to Deadline.

Why is Percy Hynes White not in Wednesday season 2?

Percy Hynes White, who portrayed Xavier Thorpe in Netflix 's hit series Wednesday, has been dropped from the show's second season, which premiered on August 6. His removal follows allegations of sexual misconduct made against him in January 2023, which the Canadian actor has denied, calling them a 'campaign of misinformation'. Netflix has not officially confirmed the specific reason for White's departure from the Addams Family spin-off. Within the show's narrative, White's character, Xavier, is explained to have left Nevermore Academy and been sent to Reichenbach Academy in Switzerland. White stated in June 2023 that the accusations were false and led to his family being doxxed and friends receiving death threats.

Wednesday season 2 addresses Xavier absence as star dropped from Netflix hit

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from Wednesday season 2. Wednesday season two has explained what happened to Xavier Thorpe as the psychic fails to return to Nevermore Academy in the new series. Netflix subscribers have been waiting for Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega) to make her comeback for the past three years and now the wait is finally over. In the first series, Wednesday was joined by the Night Shades in taking down Joseph Crackstone (William Houston), including psychic Xavier Thorpe (Percy Hynes White). He is also depicted as a potential love interest for Wednesday but feelings aren't reciprocated as she suspects him of being the monster terrorizing Nevermore in season one. And while the rest of the gang return for Wednesday season two, Xavier does not, with his absence explained in the premier episode. (Image: GETTY) As Wednesday returns to Nevermore Academy, she meets with Principal Dort (Steve Buscemi) who invites Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta Jones) to chair the gala fundraising committee. Referring to Xavier's dad, Principal Dort explained: 'Vincent Thorpe chaired the last three years but after Xavier was falsely accused of murder, he pulled his son and his endorsement from Nevermore.' 'Xavier's not coming back this year', Wednesday questions as Principal Dort replies: 'He's heading to Reichenbach Academy in Switzerland.' Xavier star Percy Hynes White chose was not welcomed back after the first series following allegations of sexual misconduct which he denies. After hearing the news of Xavier's absence Wednesday comes across a crime scene where a private investigator is violently killed by a flock of crows, one of which has one eye. Reading the note from him, Enid shares: ''I tried texting but I guess you lost the phone I gave you'', which is followed by a flashback of Wednesday destroying the phone in acid. The Addams teen then reveals a painting that he made of the crow with one eye as Enid continues: 'Consider this my goodbye gift. The image suddenly flashed in my head. 'Don't ask me how I know or what it means but it's connected to you I'm sure. 'Who's Wednesday Addams without a mystery to solve, right? Xavier." But what could the image of the crow mean and what has it got to do with Wednesday as she returns to Nevermore? Wednesday is available to watch on Netflix.
