New Hero Glamour 125 Spied With New Cluster, Cruise Control
Hero MotoCorp seems to be working on taking the next step to improve the commuter motorcycle segment by bringing in some unforeseen features in the segment. To begin with, a test mule of Glamour 125 has been spotted with a digital instrument cluster. While that seems like something that we have seen on multiple motorcycles in the segment, the brand also seems to be testing cruise control, which is offered on bikes of a higher segment. Although the test mule spotted is well-covered in camouflage, it is speculated to be the Hero Glamour 125. However, the information is not officially confirmed yet. Based on the pictures, the bike is going to carry forward the conventional design seen in the segment with a slim body and a single-piece seat. Along with this, it seems to have commuter-style foot pegs, a saree guard, and a functional grab rail. The list of upgrades includes LED turn indicators, a fully digital colour LCD instrument cluster, a new switchgear, and a cruise control system. It is worth mentioning that cruise control is a feature better suited to motorcycles higher in hierarchy, like the Mavrick 440, Xpulse 210, or the Xtreme 250R. However, the brand seems to be breaking conventional norms to bring such features to the lower segment. While the details of the mechanics are not known, we can say that the Hero Glamour 125, even in this avatar, will have a conventional setup. The claim is further supported by the fact that the bike has telescopic front forks. Similarly, the rear end is expected to have dual-shock absorbers. Meanwhile, the powertrain duties will be taken care of by a 124.7 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine kicking out 10 hp of power and 10 Nm of peak torque. It will be mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Once launched in the Indian market, the Hero Glamour 125 will find competition in the form of the TVS Raider 125 and others in the same segment.

Triumph is gearing up to expand its entry-level 400 cc lineup with the upcoming Thurxton 400. Spied testing on Indian roads multiple times over the year, it is expected to debut sometime around November 2025. This is the cafe-racer iteration of the existing Speed 400, set to revive the Thruxton nameplate after being discontinued in 2024. The motorcycle features a bullet-style semi-fairing fitted onto the Speed 400's body, alongside clip-on handlebars and a bubble visor. The Triumph Thruxton 400 will be powered by the same 398 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is in the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox, this motor delivers 39.5 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The cafe racer will be built around the chassis and hardware setup of the Speed 400, but is expected to feature adjustments to the rake and trail for a different riding experience. On the feature front, it is expected to retain the Speed 400's tech suite, including the analogue-digital instrument cluster, full-LED lighting, and dual-channel ABS. Royal Enfield Himalayan 750: The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 will be underpinned by an all-new frame and subframe that can house the larger engine. Royal Enfield has been upgrading its parallel-twin-powered middleweight motorcycle lineup, and to this end, it is currently working on the Himalayan 750. The upcoming adventure tourer will likely be officially unveiled in November 2025 at this year's EICMA show and will debut as the enhanced, larger capacity version of the popular Himalayan 450. It gets an identical design while carrying a larger half-fairing, fuel tank, a taller windscreen, and an upswept exhaust. The Himalayan 750 is expected to be powered by an air/oil-cooled engine with a larger capacity than the current 648 cc unit in Royal Enfield's big bike lineup. The current motor makes 46.7 bhp and 52 Nm of torque, and the upgraded version should pack more punch in comparison. The new Himalayan will be underpinned by an all-new frame and subframe that can accommodate the bigger powerplant. The tourer will be held up by USD front forks and a monoshock at the rear, with longer travel at both ends. The bike will ride on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless spoked wheels fitted with twin discs at the front and a single rear disc. Designed from scratch, the V2 takes on style cues from the flagship 2025 Panigale V4, currently sold in India. It is powered by the all-new 890 cc, 90-degree V-twin engine that makes 35 bhp less than the outgoing model, but is also considerably lighter. The bike is built around a cast aluminium monocoque chassis with USD front forks and a rear monoshock, both fully adjustable, and uses a double-sided swingarm for better power delivery. Smaller Hero Xpulse 160 Snapped Testing: Here's What We Know So Far
Hero MotoCorp is reported to be working on its new adventure tourer for the Indian market. Recently, Hero's motorcycle was spied testing on the road, signifying that the brand has already gone through a significant amount of R&D for the adventure motorcycle. The test mule suggests that Hero is working on developing a smaller iteration of the Xpulse, that is expected to be powered by a 160cc engine. The Hero off-roader spied testing, was seen carrying a smaller engine, likely the one present in the Xtreme 160R. This indicates that the motorcycle might be named the Hero Xpulse 160. It is expected to come up with a 4V setup that will likely shoot 17 hp and 14.6 Nm of torque. It is also expected to get a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle resembles the design and elements of the Xpulse 210. However, it gets smaller disc brakes, ditches the oil-cooling radiator and windshield in the front. Also, the knuckle guards seem different from the ones seen on the Xpulse 210. Since, the test mule seems to be a smaller version of the Xpulse 210, it is likely to carry the same suspension setup and get a 21-inch wheel in the front and an 18-inch rear wheel. This will help Hero cut down the cost of entirely investing in a new set of underpinnings and hardware. There is also a possibility that Hero will position this smaller Xpulse as an updated Impulse. After the brands split with Honda, the Impulse was the first motorcycle manufactured by Hero. Also, the Impulse is credited as the first modern adventure motorcycle in the national market. While there has been no confirmation yet, it is expected that Hero might follow the Impulse nomenclature for this off-roader, if not the Xpulse nameplate.

Hero MotoCorp shares climb 5% as JM Financial re-initiates coverage with ₹4,700 target
Hero MotoCorp shares jumped 4.9per cent to their day's high of ₹4,268 on the BSE after domestic brokerage firm JM Financial re-initiated coverage on the stock with a 'Buy' rating and a target price of ₹4,700, indicating a potential upside of 15per cent over the closing price on Wednesday. The revised outlook comes as the brokerage firm projects strong growth for the two-wheeler major, supported by new product launches, EV segment expansion, and a recovery in rural demand. During Q4 FY25, Hero MotoCorp reported net sales of ₹99.4 billion, registering a 4per cent year-on-year increase, though sales declined by 3per cent quarter-on-quarter. Volumes for the quarter stood flat year-on-year but dropped by 6per cent QoQ to approximately 1.38 million units. The decline was attributed to a temporary production halt between April 17 and 19 for maintenance and supply chain realignment, with production expected to normalize by May 2025. The margin improvement in the ICE segment was notable, with a 50-bps increase to 16.1per cent YoY, led by a favourable product mix and lower raw material costs. However, margins in the EV business remained under pressure, with price hikes implemented to offset costs arising from the OBD-2B norms. Profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter stood at ₹10.8 billion, representing a 6per cent YoY increase but a 10per cent decline QoQ. The brokerage firm noted that the decline on a sequential basis was attributed to higher expenses related to new product launches and EV ramp-up. Hero MotoCorp highlighted strong demand prospects driven by rural recovery and the marriage season in May and June, which is expected to boost domestic two-wheeler demand by 6-7per cent in FY26. The company also gained 250 basis points of market share in the 125cc+ segment during FY25, supported by the success of new launches like the Xtreme 125R, Xtreme 250R, and Xpulse 210. In the scooter segment, Hero improved its market share by 140 bps on a QoQ basis in Q4, driven by good response to the new Destini 125 and recently launched Xoom 125 / Xoom 160. On the EV front, Hero MotoCorp exited March 2025 with a 7per cent market share in the electric two-wheeler (E2W) segment, up from 3per cent in March 2024. This growth was primarily driven by the launch of VIDA V2, supported by price intervention and targeted brand-building efforts. The company has filed for Production Linked Incentive (PLI) benefits for VIDA Pro and expects approval by July 2025. Additionally, Hero also plans to introduce two new affordable EVs in 1HFY26, aiming to ramp up monthly production to 25,000-30,000 units. Investment in the EV segment stood at ₹1.43 billion in Q4 FY25. The company also expanded its electric three-wheeler (E3W) segment through the acquisition of a 34.1per cent stake in Euler Motors for ₹5.1 billion. Hero MotoCorp continues to maintain its leadership position in retail sales and is optimistic about the upcoming festive season. Channel inventory was reported at a normalised level of 4-5 weeks as of Q4 FY25, with management expecting a step-up in the festive season. The company also reported a financing penetration rate of 50per cent in Q4 and 63per cent for the full fiscal year FY25, with management aiming for further expansion in the financing penetration rate. Outlook on profitability, however, remains cautious as the company maintains a long-term margin guidance of 14-16per cent, with a continued focus on cost-saving measures and operational leverage.
