Freestyle World Ski Championships: China's Xu Mengtao wins women's aerials silver

China's Xu Mengtao won silver in the women's aerials at the Freestyle World Ski Championships in Switzerland on Sunday. Advertisement Competing at her seventh world championships, Xu was one of three Chinese skiers to reach the final in Corviglia, along with Shao Qi and Chen Xuezheng, and she got on the podium with a score of 99.16 on her second run. The United States' Kaila Kuhn scored 105.13 for gold, while Danielle Scott of Australia finished third with 96.93. Chen took fourth place and Shao was sixth. At this year's Asian Winter Games in Harbin, she won two gold medals and a silver.

The ninth Asian Winter Games closed in Harbin on Friday with host nation China topping the medals table, posting its best ever haul.
