Cameron Diaz Is Being Praised After A Clip Of Her Answering 'Distasteful' And 'Racially Charged' Questions About Working With Nicki Minaj Resurfaced Online
Cameron Diaz is being praised after a resurfaced clip of her shutting down a journalist's 'micro-aggression' against rapper Nicki Minaj went viral on TikTok. For reference, Cameron and Nicki worked together on the 2014 movie The Other Women, which was also the rapper's live-action acting debut.
In the clip, which was filmed on a red carpet, the reporter begins her interview with Cameron by asking: 'How terrifying is Nicki Minaj in real life?'
'Oh my god, not at all,' Cameron immediately replies. 'She's the sweetest. She came to our set and she was so fantastic, she was so prepared, she was so dynamic. She delivered literally like this, like, immediately, and we were like: 'Right on!''
'And she was so sweet!' the star continues. 'She was so humble. She'd flown in the night before from some awards show, went straight to set, got ready, and came to set — she was all business.'
But the journalist wasn't deterred by Cameron's wholly positive response, and without acknowledging anything that Cameron had said, she goes on to ask: 'What's her bum like in real life?'
'I don't know if I need to be commenting on that!' Cameron exclaims. 'She's a beautiful woman, I'll tell you that. She's dead stunning, drop-dead gorgeous. So beautiful.'
While several years old, the interview was recently posted to TikTok, where it has racked up more than half a million views, thousands of likes, and hundreds of comments — with many viewers taking the time to praise Cameron for how she handled the inappropriate questions.

One of the top comments, which has 11k likes, simply reads: 'what type of questions are those!?!?!? 🥲🥲,' while others said that the questions were 'racially charged.' One person wrote: 'This folks is what they call micro aggression!'
'That question was racially charged and Cameron was like no girl don't do that,' another echoed. One more added: 'These questions are so distasteful. Love Cameron!'
'Why would be she be terrifying?' somebody else inquired. While another said: 'They really tried to set my girl up 😭'
'Cameron Diaz answering toxic questions with kindness and politeness while still setting boundaries. Amazing. 👏🏻' another comment reads. One more echoes: 'Cameron is a girls girl and classy with it too. Love that.'
'Cameron CLEARED that messy reporter🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰' another user added, while somebody else wrote: 'the way Cameron cut the interview off after that second question is so classy.'
One more simply concluded: 'Cameron really handled that well.'
Kate Upton and Leslie Mann also starred in The Other Woman, and in a promotional video for the movie, which was filmed with Yahoo Celeb UK in 2014, Kate acknowledged that Nicki was 'overwhelmed' on set.

When asked what it was like to work with the musician, Leslie couldn't contain her laughter as she said: 'Nicki Minaj never remembered my name, she just referred to me as 'lady,' she was like: 'Uhm, that lady,' and I was like: 'Yes!''
'You know why she probably didn't remember your name?' Kate then pointed out. 'It's because she was really overwhelmed.'
Nicki only worked on one other live-action movie after The Other Woman, and that is the 2016 comedy Barbershop: The Next Cut, for which she was nominated for an acting Teen Choice Award.
