Should fantasy managers draft De'Von Achane and Tyreek Hill at their ADP?

Yahoo Sports fantasy analysts Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski debate whether De'Von Achane and Tyreek Hill are worth drafting at their current ADP. The two break down Miami's backfield usage, Tyreek's reliability, and what fantasy managers need to know before spending early picks on Dolphins players. Like, I, I, I don't know, I don't know why I can't quite warm up to him at running back 7 and like a clear, you know, kind of early second round pick, but it feels like the whole industry is totally behind Achan there, so I'm trying to, like, and I don't know if this is right, maybe my first instinct to just be like, I don't really want too much of this Miami offense and maybe he's gonna scam his way to a bunch of receiving production, but I, I typically want more from that out of a first round running back, but maybe I'm wrong there, um, and from the receiver standpoint, I definitely am not drafting Hill where he's going, and I've just been more, if I'm gonna take a Miami receiver, it will be Waddle, and I'll actually have those guys pretty closely ranked cause I think the gap between them as players has closed at this point. Maybe the organization doesn't see it that way, that's just my personal opinion. So, I don't, my answer to your question is, not, not really at this point, but I'm kind, I'm trying to talk myself into it. So could you talk me into it, or, or am I right to kind of be avoiding this? No, I think we probably line up pretty close here. If I'm going to shrug and take an ADP value, Waddle would be that guy. The thing with Achan is that I'm so driven to be volume heavy with my running backs, and I want easy touchdowns. I, I want, when my team just scored a touchdown from the 1 or 2 yard line, I want to pass to that touchdown and Achan. Is a low volume guy who hits home runs, and it's just generally not the way I invest in my backfields. I mean, look, we like, we like 78 yard touchdowns. It's just a hard way to live, right? I mean, one of the fantasy questions of the year is can Saquon Barkley average 29.4 yards per touchdown again and have a monster season without ever scoring from the 1 yard line? What an outlier year that was. It's crazy, man, all these statistical anomalies, but, you know, Achan is somebody who every game they go in thinking. The gas tank is half full. You can never go full tank with Achan. They understand that although they're, although every once in a while they'll get in a game that's not competitive in the 4th quarter and they keep feeding Achan. I'm like thinking, What are you doing? This is not the time to use them. Save it for a rainy day when you're gonna need them, but um, it's just not the way I built my backfield is on a guy who is a limited touches home run threat. Close

Why Travis Hunter may not be a fantasy 'unicorn' like Ohtani

Yahoo Sports fantasy analysts Matt Harmon and Scott Pianowski compare Jacksonville Jaguars dual threat Travis Hunter to Los Angeles Dodgers 'unicorn' Shohei Ohtani, and explain why his skill set likely won't translate to fantasy success. Hear the full conversation on the 'Yahoo Fantasy Forecast' podcast - and subscribe on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube or wherever you listen. View more Video Transcript It's not just like how is this offense gonna come together, it's, are we gonna actually be able to learn how many snaps Travis Hunter is playing on offense in training camp? This is an unprecedented situation, and it's not something that I think we have like a blueprint for, you know, in terms of how we can figure out how many snaps he's gonna be playing on offense, because it might change on a week to week basis. Are you thinking that Travis Hunter will be a proactive draft pick for you, uh, in redraft leagues this year? Yeah, you know, sadly, he probably won't be for me only because I think he's gonna have some role on defense, but, you know, I come from the fantasy baseball space and we have a time now where Shohei Ohtani is a unicorn, right? I mean, he's the best offensive player in baseball, but he also pitches, and he pitches at a Cy Young level, but they have to monitor his innings. And it's a case of he's a monster on offense. He is also useful as a pitcher, but does that take away from his offense? A lot of the same questions are asked. Right, cause people will say, well, if Travis Hunter's so good at receiver, why do you want to take him away? Why do you wanna, you know, use up more of the toothpaste? Why do you want to risk more injury at a time when we have a unicorn in baseball, we have a unicorn in football, because we have nothing to compare this to. I mean, I, I know Roy Green, once upon a time, different generation played defense. We remember Troy Brown when the Patriots would be short-handed on defense, he would pick up some snaps on, on the in the secondary. And you know, Deion Sanders would do some window dressing offense here and there, you know, we, we see that every once in a while where a defensive player wants to play offense, but we have nothing to compare Travis Hunter to. And as great as Hunter was at Colorado, and he won all the awards and deservedly so. Bryant Thomas has already done it in the NFL and shown he can win at all levels, and he won with very bad quarterback play, what he did last year. It can't be ignored, and I think that's going to somewhat mute what Hunter does in year one. Close

Kai Cenat on the MJ vs. LeBron debate, his most underrated player ever

The internet sensation spoke with Yahoo Sports to share his thoughts on the NBA's GOAT debate, his favorite underrated player and also his relationship with the NFL draft's top overall pick Travis Hunter. Kai joined Yahoo Sports on behalf of State Farm's Gamerhood. View more Video Transcript I feel like Jordan, Jordan, Jordan's supporters are more like older hands, you feel what I'm saying? like they grew up on Jordan and stuff and then LeBron supporters are like my generation. LeBron supporters are like my generation. But like LeBron is the only person you can successfully praise and compliment. Like he's just, he's the one that you can literally compliment and it's OK. LeBron's a GOAT, bro. I ain't gonna lie, bro. Bron is Bron. You know, I got to see Bron play when I was born and growing up. You feel what I'm saying? I'm pretty sure he's tough, he's a GOAT and a huge inspiration. Not only is he great on the court, but off the court, you feel what I'm saying? Family man, inspiration. And he be proving so many people wrong. Crazy. The answer Barbosa is to go, one of the greatest players, most underrated too, no cap. There were certain games where he dropped 16, a couple of points, made some passes, got some rebounds, and they all affected in the long run. With me and Trav, it's literally on the spot with the creativity of the live chat going to. You feel me? Those are, those are hard, but they, but he be pulling them off though. I ain't gonna cap. Wait till he's in the NFL or somebody about to go crazy. I mean, if you could do it, if you could do both ways, let him do both ways. I'm trying to see that. Every time I come back to State Farm, we're always doing something cool and something unique, something different, and I'm, I just like coming back. I've been saying it all day. I think the set is crazy. I think they did a great job with all of this and this looks absolutely amazing. Like it's legit. I feel like I'm really in the gamerhood. Close
