BYD Auto enters Iraq through partnership with NAT
Baghdad ( Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD has announced its entry into the Iraqi market through a strategic agreement with NAT, part of Iraq's March Holding Group.
NAT will serve as the exclusive distributor of BYD vehicles in Iraq.
The partnership includes plans to open four integrated sales and service centers across several Iraqi governorates in 2025. These centers will provide sales, maintenance, and technical support.
BYD also plans to introduce its luxury models to the Iraqi market, including the YangWang U8 and Denza, targeting the premium segment of the market.
According to a statement, NAT will establish a training academy for Iraqi technicians to support the maintenance of electric and hybrid vehicles, with support from Chinese experts.
BYD, founded in 1994, operates in over 70 markets worldwide and is known for its electric vehicle technology, including Blade Battery and hybrid systems.
